6:10 PM — A 19-year-old Edinburgh man has been found guilty of extortion for his part in a gay and adult chatline sting. Kelz Sutherland was part of a group which tricked men into talking about underage sex and then threatened to expose them to family and friends if they did not hand over money.

Temporary ban on California gay marriages extended to end of year 16
9:21 AM — A California appeals court has extended the ban on gay marriage until the end of this year. After US District Judge Vaughn Walker ruled that the ban was unconstitutional, weddings were to begin today at 5pm.
