The seventh Reading Pride festival will be held on Saturday September 4th.

The free event includes a pride parade through Reading’s town centre, plus a party in Kings Meadow Park.

Swedish pop star Agyness will be headlining, supported by Scooch who will perform hits from TV show Glee.

There will also be a family picnic area, a youth zone and a marketplace.

Last year, the festival was almost disrupted by the far-right group National Front.

The group applied for permission to protest at the event but later said it did not want to interrupt the parade.
