  1. When so many other NATO nations have openly gay soldiers and Military, why is the USA “Hope of the free” so backward? If a good old conservative nation like us can do it, why can’t they? Come on Mr President, stop this daft behaviour and sort your military OUT(!)

  2. The lack of progress made toward repealing DADT — or even putting a hold on discharges under it — has been frustrating to say the least, but discharges like this are infuriating! This man was following the policy to the letter, right up until he had to tell the cops he was gay to defend himself against charges of rape. So, basically, he was fired because he didn’t want to go to prison for a crime he didn’t commit (not to mention the he would have been discharged if the rape accusation had stuck, so his career was pretty screwed from the moment the allegation was made…).

    Also, what’s up with the picture for this article? Col. Fehrenbach is an AF F15 pilot, and Pink News put up a picture of a Navy F18…
