  1. I’ve a few ideas why it failed and I wouldn’t day lack of support was one of them. They are also incorrect saying Worcester pride was ground breaking for a cathedral city as next door Hereford holds – Out in the sticks – each year.
I am just sorry for the people of Worcester at the end of the day as there was many that wanted a pride in their city. Hopefully next year they will find what they are looking for and get the pride they want.

let’s expect NO support from public bodies for any other events this year, then!

  3. Worcester is not a gay-friendly place. Not because of its social attitudes, but simply that it does not have a large gay community. I used to live there before recently moving to London to experience a much faster pace of life. I don’t regret it for a second!
I will say that Worcester is genuinely a lovely cathedral city with excellent schools, very low crime rates and (relatively) good climate – but the lack of any gay scene was a big problem for me!
