It’s a setback, to be sure — but not a dead end. It’ll just take a little bit longer to make it happen.
And meanwhile in Minnesota, there’s a promising new tactic to overturn gay marriage bans by establishing strong domestic partnerships. Obviously domestic partnerships aren’t the same as equal protection under the law, but as we’ve seen, they’re a good way to chip away at discriminatory constitutional amendments.
