Elton John postpones Arizona gig due to food poisoning
Elton John has postponed a gig in Arizona, US, after falling ill with food poisoning.
The gay singer was due to perform for 8,800 fans at Arizona’s Tuscon Arena last night but organisers say he will be well enough to play the gig tonight instead.
Kate Calhoun, a spokesperson for the venue, apologised to fans on John’s behalf but said he was recovering.
She said: “Elton apologises for the inconvenience caused due to his illness, but doctors assure him he will be fine.”
John is currently touring America and will also perform in 16 European cities.
Last November, he had to cancel a string of tour dates after being hospitalised with an e.coli infection and flu.
