Ally Sheedy as Allison in The Breakfast ClubAlly Sheedy, the 1980s actress best known for her role in The Breakfast Club, announced her daughter was gay this week.
Sheedy took her teenage daughter Rebecca to a charity event in Los Angeles for The Trevor Project, a non-profit group which helps LGBT teenagers.
She told reporters she attended the event because Rebecca recently said she was a lesbian.
Sheedy said: “My daughter has just come out. So [I'm here because] it’s personal.”
