Excellent. It would be nice if the Brits could do what they do in Sao Paulo Brazil to impress the tyrant of rome, who is apparently coming to England later this year.

Sao Paulo has a gay pride attendance of over 3 million, multi years running.

You should have a second pride when the churchFuhrer is there. With every last gay person and good str8 supporter in attendance. To tell his holiness that WWII ended 65 years ago and his church has yet to EXcommunicate Hitler.

And btw IL Papa, who apparently helped cover up the churches attempts to pregnatise boys all over the world, in 2009 UNexcommunicated a bishop Williamson, who is a holocaust denier.

Perhaps the Arabs, who lost 40-50 million people during the christian crusades during period 900-1500 wile send the Pope home.

    IN a box.

  4. @Kathie – you’ll find that some of the Arabs you’re looking to help you rid the world of the Pope, will also happily send you home in a box too. Would much rather have the devil we know than the home-grown devil who has yet to show us his true spirit…

  6. The best place to do Gay Pride in London would not be in Soho, but in the neo-conservative multi-faith/atheist suburbs in Zones 2,3,4,5 etc. Having a Gay Pride in Central London is tokenism.

Gerry’s got a point there. Pride is no longer political, but just an excuse to get pissed-up, blow whistles and get a shag.

A gay march through Bethnal Green or Walthamstow would be far more effective. In the days of Brixton and Victoria Park, I think it was actually worth it.
