  1. I think it’s all a conspiracy from the French bra industry to sell bras.

  2. Unnterly outragious and beond contempt; unfortunatly, not all that unbelievable.

Felipe, I think you might be onto something there, it’s the only reasonable explination (other than, you know, institutionalised transphobia and mysogeny. But what government would have that? /sarcasm)

Next request the French authorities make will be that she shake them in a specific manner, and then sit on their laps, it’s the only way they can be sure she’ll be the kind of woman they like.

  4. Do they tell cis-gendered women who have had breast removal surgery (masectomies) for cancer that they’re no longer women? Or cis-women who are naturally slim and A cup breast size or less they don’t measure up? Absolutely ridiculous. I hope she gets a flat chested cis-woman lawyer to represent her!

  5. How big does the French Minister of Justice’s penis have to measure up to in order to make him a man?

  6. The French know a lot about tits just look at President Nicolas Sarkozy the biggest tit of all!

Maybe a French court should rule Sarkozy is not a adult until he grows another six inches.

…What. This is the stupidest **** I’ve heard all year. What the hell is going on in France these days? The EHRC should give them a bloody good slapping and send them to bed with no supper.

Maybe a French court should rule Sarkozy is not a adult until he grows another six inches.

That made me laugh out loud. :D

  8. This BS ruling is a throwback to the bad old days of the 60s and 70s when male psychologists were the gatekeepers to the final approval for SRS!

You had psychiatrists who required MtFs to quit their current position and get a job for a “traditional” female, not to mention requiring an opposite-sex love interest, and worst of all? One psychiatrist said that if he didn’t get an erection, he would refuse to grant the woman her surgery!!

This is 2010, not 1950, you moronic French twit!

it’s part of an EU plot to standardise the specification of the Euro-woman

    (sorry, a bit facetious there!)

Seriously, stupid doesn’t even come close to starting the criticism…

If I’m not mistaken last year France delisted transsexualism, meaning it’s no longer covered by insurance. So now the only trans women in France that can become “real women” are those that can afford surgery on their own. I’m curious; in France if a man has breasts…

  11. This is the most surreal news I’ve read all day.
