Good luck to ‘em. They’ll need it. The gloss (if ever there was any) is well and truly off Camden, in particular the market and high street. Its really down at heel and still populated with feral ‘yoof’ muttering “hash, coke, marijuana” under their breaths at all and sundry. The only good thing I can say about Camden is it now has a gay mayor, that is some achievement. Is the Black Cap still going?

His first move should be to erect a statue in honour of Regina Fong…

Why? To demonstrate that Camden is that boring and unfunny?

No rob, to give you something to moan about, as per. You’d have had to find something derogatory about Amy or Jonathan if Stewart hadn’t set you up that easy one….

Reg Fong was very popular, so clearly, like me, there are many who disagree with your views, again, as per.

Why is this news? We had a gay mayor in my home town two years ago and I’m pretty sure that wasn’t reported on here. And this wasn’t a London Borough but a northern former mining town.

A statue to Mrs Shufflewick (a very famous, albeit long departed, Black Cap Drag Queen) is probably even more important than Regina at this moment.

Mrs Shufflewick made a big impresion on many of us back in the 60′s, despite her performing almost ‘legless’ most of the time!
