This article fails to point out that the bill puts forth no date or requirement to actually end DADT and fails to provide any protections against discrimination for gays and lesbians in the US military. It may be a theoretical victory by getting Congress to vote on the issue and get out of the business of ordering discrimination, but it does nothing to actually improve the situation in the US military.
Why is this so relevant to the UK community beggars belief. You should press the new homophobic minister Theresa May, who apparently doesn’t believe in marriage equality?
About ruddy time!
An american friend told me it is a good idea to have the inquiry, to make sure people are happy with the repeal, to make sure it’s what everyone wants.
And in the meantime, how many people have their lives destroyed, are told they are less than a complete human being, all to make sure a minority feel good about themselves.
Mr Obama, do what you initially promised, regardless of these prehistoric thinkers.
It is as relevant to the UK community as any other global LGBT issue, or have I missed the point and you were simply using that statement as a segue to your tired and hate filled comment about Theresa May.
I almost get the impression that you are scared that Theresa May or that this Tory led coalition might actually not be as homophobic as you keep preaching.
I realise from your name that you are still the same, other people can change, and given her statements on question time I would like to see the results of that in action over the coming period.
I really don’t need you preaching at me at every opportunity like a rabid bible bashing ejit trying to force your views down my throat. I am quite capable of making my own mind up and making my own judgements.
