Why is this so relevant to the UK community beggars belief. You should press the new homophobic minister Theresa May, who apparently doesn’t believe in marriage equality?

  2. Of course the progress or otherwise of gay marriage in the world’s richest and most powerful country is relevant to us. We don’t live in isolated boxes.

  3. Whether it should be this way or not, the US does seem to have a bit of influence on policy of various other countries. As a “world leader”, if the US denies basic human and equal rights to their own citizens, I wish every other country would jump straight down their throats. They present themselves as models for equality, inclusion, and human rights to others, so they should be made to walk the walk and not just talk the talk. As a US citizen, I am ashamed of our country’s exclusionary and discriminatory policies towards LGBT Americans.

I too am ahamed of our country’s discriminatory policies toward Our LGBT Americans. I am in a straight marriage but I highly support Our LGBT Americans. Why shouldn’t they have ALL the same rights. This is stupid!!!!! Why would anyone be afraid of this? With rights also come responsibilities which they would have to up hold. LGBT are NOT Less than I am. Give them the same that the rest of us have.
