South African police are investigating whether there is a gay link to the murder of the white supremacist Eugene Terre’blanche.

A lawyer representing two of the labourers charged with his murder on a farm has claimed that he had sex with at least one of the men. A condom is also said to be part of the evidence being investigated.

“We are not going to focus on one thing,” Musa Zondi, who is investigating the murder, told reporters. He said that a sexual link was among one of the many aspects being investigated. “We will investigate all pertinent facts that have a bearing on the matter.”

Terre’blanche was well known for his homophobic and racist diatribes as the founder of the Afrikaner Resistance Movement.

He served six years in prison for assaulting a petrol station attendant and the attempted murder of a security guard.

Terre’blanche’s body was found half naked on April 3rd at his family farm near Ventersdorp, 60 miles west of Johannesburg.
