Lesbian actress Jane Lynch is to be honoured at this year’s Outfest Film Festival.

Lynch, who plays the villainous Sue Sylvester in Glee, will receive the 14th annual Achievement Award, which is the festival’s highest honour.

The honour will be given at a ceremony on July 8th in Los Angeles, Daily Variety reports.

The star is to marry her longterm girlfriend, psychiatric Dr Lara Embry, at a ceremony this spring.
