London’s annual LGBT cross-arts festival is seeking submissions.

GFEST, organised by arts charity Wise Thoughts, showcases work including short film, performances and visual art and contributions are open to all.

A selection panel will draw up a shortlist of entries.

Artistic director of GFEST, Niranjan Kamatkar, said: “Judging from many enquires after GFEST 09, we are expecting a number of very high quality submissions this year.

“I am pleased to say that due to ever expanding interest and wider support from the artistic and gay community, we can organise a better GFEST 2010.”

Last year, the festival was supported by London Mayor Boris Johnson as one of the key LGBT cultural events in London and also enjoyed a launch at the House of Commons.
