This is welcome news for all gay men who wish to be fathers. Gay men (and lesbian women) are wonderful parents an excellent role models around children. I do not care what the bigot idots say – they can go back to their church caves in the last century, as far as I am concerned!!!!

  2. The Tories will reverse this new law pretty quickly if they get a chance.

  3. Sounds like a lot of gender bias in a country that is supposed to be so advanced in areas of gender equality. Why has it taken so long to get to this point and why are single males still discriminated against? The larger question should be, where is the outrage over this discrimination?

  4. This is pretty damn stupid!! The biological mother needs to be on the Birth Cert. in case the child falls ill and you need a medical history in order to help him/her. As well as messing with the child’s mind, unless you live long enough to tell her about her mother, just in case she wants to know who the hell her mother is.
I may want to adopt a child but I’m not going to remove his/her origins.
