Is max out now then Mihangel? I know its been gossiped about in Glynneath for years-but I have never seen him officially come out?
As for Gareth Thomas-I think Abi is underestimating the massive step he has taken in coming out publicly-and also positively standing for equality for gays. He is definitely Hero of the Year as far as I am concerned. No other sportsman has ever done what he has done. He is unique and inspirational for all of us.

Abri1975: to an extent I agree. However this is “news” albeit low-key, but moreso than some non-events reported here.

And he is a positive role model; the last big Welsh name involved in rugby that was (closetted) gay was Max Boyce!

Yes he has come out, we all get it now! But I see far more important voices not being reported on LGBT issues. Being a publicly visible out person should not instantly make you a community leader.

I went there for the first time and absolutely adored it! Couples straight & gay, families, friends – thousands of people dedicated to showing their commitment to LGBT equality whilst having a lot of fun! The atmosphere is always immense, but I hope the weather will be as hot & sunny as it was last year. I also hope to meet the great Nigel Owens & Gareth Thomas sho shall be looking out for them!
