  1. Rotten as a pear.

  2. I take it the prostitutes by appointment to his holiness the pope!

The bible says if you sleep with a prostitute your as one blood!

  3. What’s the scandal?

Isn’t the entire Vatican a male prostitution ring?

Headed by that closet case, Nazi, Ratzinger?

  4. Is this news?!?

  5. Saw this in the New York Times, had to laugh, more from the hypocrites!

  6. Seems a dangerous story to me. The corruption involved plays up to the catholic line of gays as sinners and it’ll be very easy for them to whip up a panic over ‘those evil gays infiltrating our most sacred places’

  7. Oh, wonderful! It happens just as Madam Ratzi is beginning to get his glittering costumes together for the jaunt over to Blighty to tell us all how vile and disgusting all we LGBTs are!

Madam Ratzi must be fuc*ing FURIOUS! There will now be hush-hugh top-level meetings at The Vatican as to how this crisis should be handled and the danger to the Church minimised!

Let’s make BIG PLAY of this one! Let’s rub it in the old goat’s face when he traipses around over here!

  8. I wonder how many hundreds of years this tradition has been going on?

I doubt they can afford a witchhunt in the Vatican.

  9. Ratzinger is now the pimp master general! Lets hope the Italian police have the power to seize all the immoral earnings from the proceeds of the churches prostitution.

  10. Karma.

  11. I was about to add my two penn’orth but it has already been said by several up above more pithily, wittily and concisely than I ever could.
All the worthy comments above boil down to one and that is, “So what is new..?”

The Vatican beats Florida as a gay theme park.

It is not for doing it you cop it, it is for getting caught and that goes for expenses-fiddlin’ M.P.s here and kiddy-fiddlin’ priests over in the I.R.

I would think more of Pope Gary Glitter XVI if he were to dump all that haberdashery and knick-knackery, stop walking about like a car-boot sale and adopt a style similar to Mahatma-Ghandi; I might just listen to what he had to say, then.

    Until then, “Alice, the sick-bag..!”

‘Vatican in gay sex shocker cover up.’

    Nothing new there then.

  13. David Skinner 5 Mar 2010, 2:28pm

The Roman Catholic Church had its chance to reform five hundred years ago and it will be brought back time and time again to its fundamental heresies, until, that is, it repents of all that is contrary to the Bible. If Peter was the first pope, why was he allowed to keep a wife. And if Peter was infallible, why did Paul give him a public dressing down in Antioch?

  14. Vincent Poffley 5 Mar 2010, 3:29pm

Perhaps the Vatican could be transformed into a force for good in the world if they were to leave off their loopy sidelines in paedophilia and religion and concentrate instead on their main business – as a service for hooking up closeted gay men with one another.

  15. Erroll Clements 5 Mar 2010, 3:32pm

Maybe the pope should clean up his own house before he hops and skips over here to damn us all to hell! Are we suprised? Noooooooooooooo, these religious holier than thou twats are not two faced c**ts who say one thing and do another. The ever so rightous?!!

  16. BrazilBoysBlog 5 Mar 2010, 4:23pm

    @13 …and who gives a f-ck?

Seriously, this is another case of these religious bigots telling people how to live their lives, yet doing something completely different. Lets really give the pope something to think about when he sets foot on UK soil.

  17. Anyone remember that episode of Father Ted when they had Priest Line ads on tv just like the gay phone line ads of the time? Strangely prophetic.

  18. Peter Fuchs 5 Mar 2010, 5:33pm

Historical note: the most famous source for the history of the Council of Constance in the fifteenth century gives a long detailed list of provisions brought to Constance for the Council and specifically includes about 500 prostitutes.

  19. Jean-Paul Bentham 5 Mar 2010, 5:34pm

“The chorister, 29-year-old Thomas Chinedu Ehiem, was sacked after police heard him talking on a wiretap to Angelo Balducci, a Gentleman of His Holiness.”

    Police?…wiretap???….

There’s more to this than meets the eye, eh Dave honey.

  20. Great quote from Abi1975, I didn’t have you down as a bible basher Abi. Not exactly a shock that there is a gay sex ring in the Vatican, but I wonder if Ratzinger makes these guys sign confidentiality agreements and threatens them with excommunication like he did for the children who were abused by priests in England, ireland, USA, Canada, Brazil……and the rest of the world

  21. AngieRS: “Rotten as a pear.”

I think that is rather unfair comment on pears.
In fact, I think you have a very fruitist attitude.

  22. Father Andrew Gentry 5 Mar 2010, 6:19pm

Prostitution in the Vatican by the Vatican and for the Vatican well well what do we here! The Vatican has engaged in prostitution of spirituality for a long time and now we learn that it has been buying conjugal sex for a price as well! Can you imagine the stories about the bed sheets in the Vatican laundry!! Talk about your seal of secrecy indeed! Come on do these blokes in fancy dress and knickers actually believe that anyone with an intelligence rating above 2 take their pontifications seriously anymore!? At least when you get screwed by a prostitute there is no pretense which is a thousand fold times more honest than the cod-swallow the Vatican spreads about! I left the Roman Church a long long time ago and am amazed how anyone let alone fellow gay priests in particular can and do remain!

  24. When Fancy Frox comes here and should he start pontificating about the morals, or lack of them, in the U.K., he needs to be told in no uncertain terms, that there is a moose loose in his ain hoos.
Or better still, don’t bother us; just stay away.
You have enough, Ratzinger, to contend with in the Vatican which is just one shagfest and paedo ring.

    Keith.

  25. Osvaldo Ferrer 5 Mar 2010, 7:33pm

Before we point the finger at the Catholic Church or the Pope or anyone else, let’s take a look at ourselves and what actions we take, what thoughts we have, and what we feel towards others. The Catholic Church is Holy, mankind is what is unholy and this is what happens when we don’t focus on God as men. Let’s get one thing clear and that is that the enemy of God has always been working to destroy the Catholic Church. Obviously, it is no secret that the enemy of God has infiltrated himself even to the highest ranks of the Church. Why is it that other ‘Christian’ denominations do not get the same bad rap? Do you not recall the case of the ‘late-term-abortionist’ who was shot and killed serving at his church? Why does this not sicken people when we hear about a ‘legal murderer’ serving at church??? And regardless of what a priest does, to God they are his Holy Priests, the vicars to Jesus Christ on earth.

For those who do not practice any faith or seek to know God: keep in mind that we must pay for everything we do, say, and think. We will not be judged on our sins but on how we loved and by reading some of these comments we can all see that some simply do not love. Jesus Christ loved even the ones that beat and crucified Him. Did he not say “Forgive them for they not know what they do”? Engrave this in your hearts and open your spiritual eyes and ears to the reality that the enemy is at work 24/7/365 plus overtime!!! And instead of pointing the finger, pray for our Priests and their sanctity especially those who have strayed from the path of Christ!!!!!!!!

  26. Jean-Paul Bentham 5 Mar 2010, 7:40pm

R U on or off your medications?

now please, don’t take that the wrong way.

  27. I quite like the caption under the picture – “The Vatican has been hit by another scandal!”

    Enough said!

  28. Dave North 5 Mar 2010, 8:02pm

    - Osvaldo Ferrer

Stop trying to paint this organisation as a victim.

They got caught not practicing what they preach.

  29. As if we need this! Now it will reinforce the stereotype that gays are predators and that paedophilia = homosexuality. That said, I wonder what the Vatican is doing about the straight offenders within its ranks. Not all of the victims of clerical molesters were or are males. The seminaries are supposed to be weeding out perceived gays under certain criteria, but what about the straight offenders? By what criterion is it making a determination that they too are unfit for the religious life? There are many straight catholic priests engaging in relationships with women and in some instances have fathered children. What is the Vatican doing about that I wonder? Sweeping it under the carpet as usual, undoubtedly but using us as the scapegoats to villify and denigrate our lives.

Don’t forget to sign this Peter Tatchell petition on the No. 10 website to protest against the Pope’s visit:

  31. BrazilBoysBlog 5 Mar 2010, 8:46pm

@25 Yes, the catholic church as ´victims´ ? Purleeeeese!

Hypocrites, child abusers, spreaders of lies, fu-king EVIL, I´ll grant you, but ´victims´? Get a life!

“And regardless of what a priest does, to God they are his Holy Priests, the vicars to Jesus Christ on earth.” Oh, nice to know! again you (like the pope and the church bosses) are EXCUSING the child abusers! “regardless of what the priest does” Incredible.

Please save the fictional sky pilot cr-p for someone who gives a fu-k!

  32. Destroying themselves by their own petard – the Lord works in strange ways indeed.

  33. I read he prefers to be Pope only during the mornings. Keeps the afternoons free for practising the splits on the marble flooring.

  34. Father Andrew Gentry 5 Mar 2010, 9:29pm

Poor sad little minded Osvaldo your comment is such a perversion on so many levels! When the Grand Inquisitor realized it was Jesus that was before him he was infuriated and told him to get the hell of out of the “Holy Office” because his presence was neither wanted or needed, well nothing has changed! It is little wonder that the only words of condemnation by Christ were directed specifically to the “holy priests” of his day and that condemnation is as relevant now as then!

  35. wait a minute, I missed this before. “And regardless of what a priest does, to God they are his Holy Priests.”

So that justifies paedophila, rape, embezzlement of funds? The men who do these things are NOT His Holy Priests. They should be defrocked and shamed. To suggest that people should ignore dreadful crimes commited by priests is what caused the scandals in Ireland where people were so in awe of the priesthood they were afraid to speak up.

  36. Davlin Court 5 Mar 2010, 10:13pm

You have mis-stated a Vatican precept in your article: In the Catholic church homosexuality itself is not a sin, but is “intrinsically disordered”, however, homosexual acts may be considered sinful. The Church holds that Homosexuals must be given the respect of the dignity of their humanity and may not be objects of hate or injustice.

  37. They should put up a glitter ball and turn it into a big gay nightclub…

  38. Davlin, that’s not good enough. Gays are NOT intrinsically disordered. The Vatican needs to wake up.

I keep thinking of that comedy film, The Pope Must Die, in which they accidentally elect an honest man to the Papacy and he roots out the corruption. That’s what’s needed!

  39. Jean-Paul Bentham 5 Mar 2010, 10:49pm

    Here, here.

The hierarchy is “intrinsically disordered”, and that’s why there’s such a veil of secrecy about the vatican.

Financial scandals, sex scandals and “silent scandals”, like why doesn’t the vatican speak out – loud and clea – against the anti-gay bill in Uganda!!!

  40. BrazilBoysBlog 5 Mar 2010, 11:41pm

@39 Because they SUPPORT the anti-gay bill in Uganda!!

I´ve said it before….The catholic church, our number ONE enemy!

  41. Dave North 6 Mar 2010, 12:00am

Do a simple internet search for “Vatican” and “Finances”

The results will curl your hair at just how corrupt this vile organization is.

To add insult to injury the Irish Bishops are asking there “flock” to cough up the cash to pay for the compensation that this so called church have had to pay to the abused children.

Isn’t it a turn around when a man in Black with a wee white collar awash with ancient stories from a non provable book is now deemed a threat.

And our parents believed it this tripe.

Good riddance to the lot of them.

  42. This gives new meaning to the old phrase `a gentleman called’.

  43. whoops, I meant `gentleman caller’.

  44. Jean-Paul Bentham 6 Mar 2010, 1:25am

The Pope, on behalf of the Catholic church, has not responded.

Do you suppose he’s entranced by “ChatRoulette”?

  45. I hope we’re all going to give the Pope a warm welcome when he comes to the UK in the summer & tries to send our equalities back to the dark ages. What do we expect from an angry & jealous closet homosexual who hates because he can never come out & be himself because he hid in the church.

  46. Mihangel apYrs 6 Mar 2010, 11:37am

so why was the chorister named since he didn’t appear to be doing anything illegal? Do the Rome police act as spies for the Vatican? (probably!)

  47. #45
    Exactly so, Louise, EXACTLY SO..!

  48. Davlin, how do you account for the fact that Vatican psychiatrists issued a statement months after after the U.S. molestation came to light claiming that paedophilia = homosexuality? What a lot of people don’t know or refuse to acknowledge is that not all of the victims were male, there were many females but the Vatican has refused to say just how it is going to handle that component in terms of weeding out seminarians who are perceived or seem to have a predilection for males. Explain! This loving the sinner hating the sin mantra doesn’t wash any more, its just to let the Vatican off the hook in its condemnation of us. There are many things that straight couples do in the privacy of their bedrooms that this cult could construe as sinful but we hear no judgment on that. You mean to tell me that there are no catholic couples using condoms or the pill? Please! Both are forbidden by the cult. He doesn’t call for their excommunication either. He NEVER issues statements condemning straights for extra-marital sex, having sex before marriage, rapists who violate females, straight philanderers, doesn’t ascertain that women who marry in white are indeed virgins, which is what the dress symbolises. I was actually present at a catholic wedding where the bride was three months pregnant and…wearing a white dress. Now if that’s not hypocrisy and a brilliant example just how it uses the doublestandard when it comes to us, then I don’t know what is. Its a disgusting cult with a history of evil deeds, the latest being its statement that condoms don’t help prevent the spread of HIV. This man should be brought up on crimes against humanity at the world court in The Hague and should be barred from entering the UK on just that alone. He is evil incarnate.

  49. I have been in Rome since January and from what I have gathered, there are many, many closeted gay people in the Vatican, and many closeted people, in general (in Rome)! Many of my friends say that they have been touched inappropriately or pursued by (flaming) priests. I have met a much larger number of men than I have ever met in the UK who are closeted, in Rome. Indeed, a few years ago there was reputed to be a scandal concerning closeted gay people in the Swiss guards (see ‘other issues’ on this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swiss_Guard) To the extent that this is not due to social conservatism and the attitudes of the church, I believe this is patly a result of Italian family structure. Being with one’s parents until the age of 40 is not exactly conducive to breaking free of their attitudes and their conceptions of their beloved son! Nor is it always conducive to having relationships.

I’d like to find it funny, but it is very sad.

  50. Dave North 6 Mar 2010, 5:48pm

    Send in the law.

    Shut it down

Remove all their cash and bunting and redistribute it to those who need it.

This is what is done with illegal proceeds in the UK.

Why should this corrupt organization be any different.

  51. And is it not ironic that here in Rome we have all-nude gay sex club nights! All taking place not too far from Il Papa’s residence. And for sure I know of people who have been sneaked into the Vatican by members of the clergy for quiet sex in the apartments. Italia is all corruption and hypocrisy.

Why doesn’t the chorister sue the Vatican for illegal dismissal. He should take a case of unfair dismissal to the EU!

  52. witness2thetruth4 6 Mar 2010, 6:00pm

Pope worship is a sin of all sins! I am not the least bit surprised about the sex scandals and the devil worship for this Church of Rome is exactly what it is and a “doctrine of devils and Satan” that the Bible speaks about. God continues to expose this church of man and ceasar worship.
“come out of her my children and choose not to partake of her sins for her sins have reached the heights of heaven”.

Roman Catholics have butchered and murdering the true saints through out history “dont partake of drinking the wine of her fornication.”

Rome killed the apostles we learn that from the Bible and the Roman government dissapeared from sight and turned into a religion. Simply put Rome never left. God continues to expose this church of Satan and sexual immorality and death for it has a history of it. Let us not forget history this church is a monster and sin surrounds it will be destroyed by the hand of God. “the truth will be proclaimed from the rooftops” and the mighty God is still here and always has and is coming……

  53. Jennifer Hynes 6 Mar 2010, 6:59pm

“intrinsically disordered” Unlike paedophiles I take it. Hypocrites.

  54. ‘Gay sex scandal at the Vatican.’ OH MY GOD, HOLD THE FRONT PAGE!!!!

  55. paisleyface 7 Mar 2010, 7:44pm

It’s a safe assumption that the pope was complicit in all of this. He’s a sick, degenerate SOB, leading a pack of wild, sick, degenerate SOBs. The RCC is a cabal of closeted gay people trying to force all gay people into the closet. Is this not obvious to everyone yet?

  56. supabiotch1 9 Mar 2010, 6:26pm

thank God the “Christians” are free from judgement…Oh wait, they’re NOT…their day is coming, WAAIIT FOOOR IT……

  57. I have just got through Osvaldo’s meanderings, it was a spoof, right?
