  1. This is so sad. I remember having such a crush on him when he was presenting To Buy or Not To Buy.

  2. This must surely be an awful coincidence but this is yet another case of a young gay “celebrity” from this part of the world being found dead for unexplained reasons in the past couple of months.

I’m close to wondering if something undetected is going on. I hope these people aren’t being targeted by some homophobe and being poisoned by some new concoction that is escaping the clinicians carrying out the autopsies.

  3. Jean-Paul Bentham 1 Mar 2010, 11:28pm

My sympathy to Kristian Digby’s family, loved ones and friends.

    Incredible tragedy. 32.

  4. Sympathy and Condolences to his family and all who loved him!

  5. The Halcyon 1 Mar 2010, 11:39pm

32 is not an age to die. Schade.

  6. Eddy, seriously luv, where did you park your brain before offering up that thought? It’s almost as bad as the they’ve-brought-it-on-themselves drivelings of the tabloid ninnies.

I’ll be (mildly) interested to see Daily Mail’s reporting of this, and whether they exercise any restraint before the facts are know. I’m betting Jan Moir has been taken off Obit. duties.

    RIP KD.

  7. Chameleon, Eddy’s is fair comment. Far worse things have been known in the course of human history – - always keep your eyes and your mind open to possibilities. Poirot, you are not.

  8. I dont understand the comments left by Lucius. What other celebs have been ‘bumped off’…!?!?

  9. I wonder how soon Jan Moir will be spewing her brand of homophobic bile about this unfortunate death?

  10. Now that’s a shame.

  11. Chas – And I’m not sodding paranoid either!

Jan – I think we have to assume he (eddy, btw) is referring to Stephen Gateley and Lee McQueen. The former died of natural causes, as his partner had to strive so hard to point out, lamentably. And Mr McQueen hanged himself in the aftermath of his mother’s death. Both tragic, but utterly unrelated.

We don’t know why this guy has died, so I just find it lamentable that anyone should be rushing to fan up some preposterous conspiracy theory that ‘they’re out to get gay people’. It’s as bad as Jan Moir rushing to condemn gay people without bothering to acquaint herself with the facts of the case. Though from the opposite side of the lens, I grant you.

  12. RIP.

As someone who met him briefly a couple of times, and watched him more, he was as nice in real life as he was on screen. A genuine man, a talented, exceptionally watchable presenter.

My thoughts are with his friends and family – they must be in pieces. I hope you can draw consolation from the fact that there must be vast numbers of people out there like me whose lives he has touched and made better.

    Only the good die young.

  13. I’m devastated and shocked by the news.
It’s almost impossible to believe that someone so nice, warm and loveable could have gone at such a young age.
You’ll live on in our hearts for a long, long time.
    Rest In Peace XXX

  14. novice john 2 Mar 2010, 1:37am

Im not gay,but was looking for confirmation on this sad news and I was sobbing when I saw it was true. So,so sad this young man has obviously been backed into killing himself for whatever reason and sky news are reporting some kind of vandalism to him house in East London.God it makes me so mad what made him do it.I cant remeber his name but it smacks of the bbc showbiz reporter who killed himself last year. So Sad

  15. Actually, Eddy, I thought exactly the same. It’s easy to consider the worst when gay hate crime is booming and so many in the media (high-profile and otherwise) are dropping like flies. To chalk this phenomenon up to “just one of those things” might prove foolish in the extreme. Without lowering to Jan Moir’s odious tone – might I suggest we don’t die of ignorance? Because – let’s face it – if history has taught us anything, it’s that heterosexuals will almost exclusively serve their own self-interest – and only consider gay mortality rates a legitimate concern when it presents a threat to the status quo. Overall, I sincearly hope this year improves for our lot, and that Kristian Digby passed from (genuine) natural causes. Our enemies have had enough to celebrate this past six months.

    RIP KD.

  16. Paul Horn 2 Mar 2010, 1:47am

Yep, and there was a young gay comedian found dead only last week, reported on these pages. Not terribly well known, only in his 30s like Kristian, I think. Horribly horribly sad. I met Kristian once. Seemed like a really nice guy.

  17. Oh Dear. Eddy and his persecution complex rises to the surface again.

It’s a sad fact, but people die all the time, usually for the most mundane of reasons. You simply don’t hear about it because they are not celebrities. That and stringing a bunch of totally unconnected incidences together because it fits a thread is illogical. You’ll be trying to tie in crop circles next.

It’s a shame though, I only saw him on the TV once or twice, and he obviously relished mincing about in front of the camera.
    He seemed a nice bloke.

  18. February 28th, 2010:

Marie Osmond’s teenaged son, Michael Blosil, has killed himself by leaping to his death around 9 p.m. Friday in Los Angeles, reports Entertainment Tonight, which quotes Marie’s brother, Donny Osmond, as saying, “Please pray for my sister and her family.”

Through her rep, Marie Osmond released a statement Saturday. It says, “My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time.”

According to ET, Michael left a note explaining he intended to end his life after a lengthy battle with severe depression that left him, he said, feeling as if he had no friends and could never fit in.

  19. SteveDenver 2 Mar 2010, 4:00am

What a handsome and hilarious young man. Such a shame. My condolences to his fans and family.

  20. Novice John is assuming suicide. Eddy is building a conspiracy theory. I think we should all reserve judgement until the facts are known. This sort of speculation is hurtful to the loved ones.

  21. Jean-Paul Bentham 2 Mar 2010, 4:45am

My sympathy to the Osmond family as well.

    Thanks Jim.

  22. “and he obviously relished mincing about in front of the camera.”

Sweet Jesus! What a surprise! RobN is off again. Can’t leave a dead person rest in peace without getting an offensive dig in to all gay people, can you?

You’re an awful pierce of work, RobN, you really are. You should go get the conversion therapy Rob. We’d be happy you’re not gay any more, and obviously so would you. It doesn’t work, although listening to you, I wish it did. But for you I’m willing to keep an open mind that it will work.

  23. Joanne in Oz 2 Mar 2010, 9:26am

My family and I send prayers to Kristian’s family and friends. As great admirer’s of Kristian’s humour, warmth and just being himself in his shows, with tears of this news. Kristian seemed to entice us to watch his antics. Heaven has received another angel..Love you heaps Kristian.

  24. Really, really sad news. Whatever the cause, Kristian’s death is horribly sad. He seemed like such a lovely person and he was a joy to watch on TV – so sweet and so genuine.

  25. Fred from Gib 2 Mar 2010, 9:41am

Hi, I’m not gay however I really enjoyed watching Kristian alongside Dominic on TV. He was genuinely nice guy and fun to watch. It’s a shame that this fellow has died especially at such a young age. My deepest sympathies to the family and to all those that miss him. Godspeed mate.

  26. Mihangel apYrs 2 Mar 2010, 9:43am

I really hope that it was natural causes; suicide would devastate his family

  27. J Mathews 2 Mar 2010, 9:52am

Ahh, the ever lovable RobN, shows his true colours again.

QUOTE : “he obviously relished mincing about in front of the camera”

What a piece of work you are RobN.

It is a very sad time to see a very talented young guy die in this way. I hope his friends and family can find peace.

  28. RIP Kritian Digby

  29. I don’t think this is the place for having a go at RobN. Leave off and have some respect for this poor man and his family. I mean Kristian Digby, obviously.

  30. David Skinner 2 Mar 2010, 10:07am

There does some seem to be a link, connection, association ( though in the minds of some here it seems to be very tenuous), between homosexuality and death. But I hear someone on this blogg say that “only the good die young.” Might this explain “giving the gift” and “ bug chasing” and all the literature produced by the Terrance Higgins Trust, such as their publications, “ Below the Belt” or “Bottom Line” ? Maybe it also explains the 200, 000 babies aborted each year in Britain alone.

No doubt if they were able to speak to us, Garry Frisch, Kevin Greening, Kevin Mcgee, and all the lesser known young men who had similar sexual drives and urges, would tell us from across void, separating the living from the dead, “God is always forgiving. Men are sometime forgiving . Nature is never forgiving.” But there some who do not even want God’s forgiveness and reject it.

John 3: 16 -21 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.”

From where I view it Britain is set on a course of suicide. The whole nation is dying, but Islam is growing.

  31. “Ahh, the ever lovable RobN, shows his true colours again.”

Indeed, J Mathews, he’s consistent if nothing else with his a-hole statements. I suspect George (#22) hit the nail on the head, I’d say that cretin could “cure” himself of this “awful gay affliction” (as he sees it, at least) then we’d ALL be happier!

But back to the story, its sad when anyone dies at 32, regardless if they are gay or straight. I always liked Kristian’s enthusiasm on his programs, I’m sure he’ll be missed.

  32. Ah, look Skinner is back with his usual brand of schizophrenic nonsense. A link “between homosexuality and death”? Sure there is…. straight people live forever, don’t they? What a stupid statement to make, Skinner.

  33. David Skinner:
I’ll let you into a little secret: Gay men are dying.
Dying all over the place. Along with straights, children, little old ladies and healthy teenagers.

So in the nicest way, please take your holier-than-thou crap, and shove it where the sun doesn’t shine. We don’t need yours, or anyone else’s forgiveness for being the way we were born.

  34. musclelad23 2 Mar 2010, 10:19am

Wow David Skinner, you managed to be both be horrifically homophobic, insanely fundamentalist, anti woman and even islamophobic in one post!

Have some respect for the dead you awful human being.

  35. Mihangel apYrs 2 Mar 2010, 10:23am

Skinner and his ilk are vultures, attacking the bereft and the vulnerable at the time when they need greatest support.

A report on the death of anyone isn’t really the place to indulge in self-righteousness, or snide sarcasm. If you can’t say anything nice then STFU, we don’t need to hear you!

There’s plenty of thereads even on this site where people can indulge their prejudices and nastiness; to do so here is selfishness

  36. David Skinner 2 Mar 2010, 10:27am

No Will. We all die. But some are resurrected to new life and some are condemned to an eternity of suffering. We are not genetically oriented towards either eternal life or death. We do have choice. We are not machines. But this is indeed a free gift of eternal life in Jesus Christ, which we are free either to accept or reject. But it cannot be received without first putting down our old life and repenting of it. Will, you cannot guarantee that you will live another ten years, ten months or ten minutes. Choose life Will. Now, today, for you never know how long the opportunity will last.

  37. David Skinner 2 Mar 2010, 10:36am

Far from my being homophobic Musclelad23; it is only your friends who are prepared to tell you the truth, instead of a whole load of soft soap. I would say that I had more regard for homosexuals than Ray Gosling who killed his erstwhile lover out of homophilia. If that is an example of homosexual love, I hate to think what homosexual hatred of other homosexuals is like.

For me therefore to tell you about my faith is not necessarily going to be received positively. Although my faith in Jesus Christ is a source of unspeakable comfort and assurance and although it is the best news that anyone could ever hear it does not initially sound like that. C.S. Lewis, talking about the Christian message, said:-
“…. It does not begin in comfort; it begins in dismay…and it is no use at all trying to go on to that comfort without first going through that dismay. In religion, as in war and everything else, comfort is the one thing you cannot get by looking for it. If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end. If you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth- only soft soap and wishful thinking to begin with and, in the end, despair.”

  38. “But some are resurrected to new life and some are condemned to an eternity of suffering”

When you make fantastical statements, the onus is on you to prove this. So, show me ONE person, who can scientifically prove the existence of an afterlife. If you can’t, then you’re just a bigoted liar who hasn’t the brains to understand what they believe in.

“I would say that I had more regard for homosexuals than Ray Gosling who killed his erstwhile lover out of homophilia”

Logically, then Fred West killed his lovers out of, what, “hetrophilia”? And logically, from your statement, one example proves the whole, then are all Christian fundamentalist idiots with a bigoted agenda, if you are an archetype example of this, Skinner? Of course not, not everyone has schizophrenic views of doomsday scenarios and “god talks to me” delusions.

Its a real shame someone doesn’t put you out of your misery by putting a pillow over your face – all of humanity could benefit for that, and you quicken your departure to this fabled afterlife…. that’s called a “win-win” in my book.

  39. For once I agree with Will.
David Skinner’s belief in a God is simply the product of a weak and feeble mind unable to accept the fact that man is utterly and completely alone, and when we die, we simply return back to that from which we came.
    End of story.

  40. “David Skinner’s belief in a God is simply the product of a weak and feeble mind unable to accept the fact that man is utterly and completely alone, and when we die, we simply return back to that from which we came.”

In a nut shell, this is exactly how it is Skinner. Delusion is a poor substitute for proof. Its you who could learn from us here, not the other way around.

We are your salvation, Skinner, embrace the truth.

  41. Very sad news. He really was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. It’s just a shame that on here, on such tragic news some people still feel the need to bicker.

    Show some respect!

  42. Well said, RobN and Will.

  43. RobN wrote “We don’t need yours, or anyone else’s forgiveness for being the way we were born” shortly after having sticking the knife into the deceased Kristian Digby by saying that he, RobN, felt that he, KD, enjoyed “mincing about in front of the camera”!

We get a glimmer of the seeds of nascent gay pride in RobN but at the same time his horrible problem with self-acceptance reasserts itself.

For those goody-two-shoes who feel there is automatic rightness is declaring “This is not the place!”, I say, no, don’t restrict intelligent curiosity and thought at ANY place!

And Kristian Digby, IF you believe there’s a spirit world, would be proud of the fact that those who speak vile anti-gay hatred are countered in their tracks -whether they be religious fundamentalist nutters like David Skinner or simply those few sad gay men with massive self-acceptance problems.

  44. David Skinner 2 Mar 2010, 11:31am

For once I agree with Will.
“David Skinner’s belief in a God is simply the product of a weak and feeble mind unable to accept the fact that man is utterly and completely alone, and when we die, we simply return back to that from which we came.
    End of story.”

Really have you got the scientific proof this? Have you visited the other side to tell us that this is true?
Hitler, Pol Pot, Stalin, Robespierre were in their own eyes brave realists who in resigning themselves to a world where love or mystery no longer exist were encouraged to treat people as a means towards an end. Are we really to believe that these stark and tough – minded people, in giving up all hope of a God , were inevitably led, against their better judgment, to impose their own tyranny on millions of others? How courageous and incredibly humble these leaders were in not believing in the dignity and uniqueness of humanity and in this way, led to engaging in mass murder and genocide – just as we are today with abortion and euthanasia.
But just imagine, just supposing they were to wake up on the either side of death and suddenly find themselves in the blazing presence of the absolute source of all love, personhood, truth, meaning, beauty, holiness and justice – someone who would demand an account of their earthly lives, because they were made in the image of God. Would they say “Phew What a relief. If only I had known, I would not have been forced to live as though God did not exist – how wonderful? No, there will be howls of rage, terror and a gnashing of teeth

  45. musclelad23 2 Mar 2010, 11:32am

Wow David Skinner really is Delusional, please go back to wasting your life reading fiction as no one here is interested in it.

  46. ChutneyBear 2 Mar 2010, 11:40am

    To David

I for one am going to hell so I might as well make the best of what I have here at the moment as I have been one bad boy. There is more evidence for seeing aliens than a bloke with a flowing white robe deciding where we go when we die. Know what, seen as I have been a bad boy I think I’ll even indulge in a bit of minge …..Sigh, religious nuts are ten a penny, never enjoying life as they are fearful of a non existent twat who dictated the biggest piece of fiction in 2000 yards!

  47. ChutneyBear 2 Mar 2010, 11:41am

    years I mean

  48. “Really have you got the scientific proof this? Have you visited the other side to tell us that this is true?”

Yes, we do. Have you scientific proof of an afterlife? You first!

  49. I met Kristian just before Christmas at a London Gay Men’s Chorus concert and he was charm personified, and very unaffected. We talked about projects he had in mind for 2010 and he seemed positive and optimistic although he did say it was an effort to continually reinvent projects for TV since he was anxious about being off-screen and forgotten.

It’s too early to pre-judge any police investigation or autopsy, but if it does turn out as some commentators suggest to be a hate crime or similarly motivated by homophobia, I hope the court arraigns Jan Moir as an accessory, since she’s so popularised that opinion.

Otherwise, RIP for a very sweet man.

  50. I believe in God. And I believe Kristian is with him now. So is Stephen Gately, and Alex McQueen, and that comedian whose name I am sorry to say I can’t recall, and everyone else, gay or straight, who died blamelessly. The real Christian God is a merciful and loving one who offers peace and succour to troubled souls.

  51. How very very sad; such a nice guy and also good looking and intelligent! A sad loss of a positive role model!

  52. If there is an afterlife, skinner, I sincerely hope there’s two, one for nobs like you and one for the rest of us.

  53. Rose, darling, though you and I have never spoken before I beg you, don’t align yourself with the the mumbo-jumbo fairies-in-the-bottom-of-the-garden nonsense of David Skinner. There is no God. God is a delusion. Read the book. “The God Delusion” by Richard Dawkins. Go out and buy it for yourself today. Do it as a way of remembering and honouring Kristian.

  54. AngieRS, you said it! Going to a “straight heaven” is actually gay hell…. the last place you would want to spend eternity is with dysfunctional basket-cases like Skinner. How boring is that? No thanks.

    :)

  55. Mihangel apYrs 2 Mar 2010, 12:17pm

    Eddy
    gret words.

May this “goody two shoes” trample all over your feelings by jumping all over your mother’s death by making nasty statements about her, or telling youi she’s burning in hell or whatever?

    If not, why not?

  56. That young gay comic that was found dead in London last week, I think there were only two comments after the PinkNews article. So I think Kristian would be proud we’re not letting his passing go with reverent silence.

I certainly hope when I go you’ll all come on here and make a thread that goes on for at least 500 comments! LOL!

  57. Hello, Mihangel! Well, I reckon John O’S has beaten me to it! :-)

To hell with the miserable ways of the cold wet valleys, Mihangel! In with the new, matey. You’ll be welcome to come and dance on my grave too! The more the merrier!

    And bring a bottle!

    Best Wishes,
    Eddy.

  58. “But just imagine, just supposing they were to wake up on the either side of death and suddenly find themselves in the blazing presence of the absolute source of all love, personhood, truth, meaning, beauty, holiness and justice – someone who would demand an account of their earthly lives….”

Yes, and why don’t YOU imagine being in the presence of God and realising your nasty, spiteful homophobia is utterly contrary to his will, and just a symptom of your own insecurity and weakness? You give Christians a bad name. You can dress your homophobia up all you like in religious garb, but I suspect it’s come from a very personal source. Someone gay beat you to a promotion at work or similar?

See a psychiatrist and vent your self-hate to him or her, don’t take over this thread with your irrelevant pronouncements.

I suggest David Skinner is ignored no matter how he tries to provoke and that we get back to the tragedy of the death of Kristian, a lovely man who died too young.

  59. Well spoken, Iris. Skinner is just another destructive poster who enjoys hurling abuse at LGBTs. He’s a troll.

  60. Dominic Francis 2 Mar 2010, 12:56pm

A confident young gay man with so much life ahead of him. So very very sad!

  61. David Skinner 2 Mar 2010, 1:02pm

So ChutneyBear, for the sake of enjoying life by putting your member up the waste passage of another person, animal, dead body or up the exhaust pipe of a car, you not only risk the physical, emotional, mental and social hazards that that inevitably entails but mock God in the process. And you call this enjoying life!!!! And how do you know that I don’t enjoy life? You obviously know all there is to know about the life of all Christians. I am very impressed.

And Will when asked whether you have scientific proof that that there really is nothing the other side of death, you answered “Yes, we do.” Really?

I have never said that Christians have scientific proof of eternal life – or of anything for that matter, and for which indeed there is no scientific proof. Ask any true scientist.
By contrast the Christian life is one of faith, trust and hope. It is a true scientific experiment, the results of which are only known after death. As Paul says in Romans 8:18-25.
“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firs fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently

So come now Will, I have answered first; now it’s your turn. Tell me what you hope for and show me the scientific proof on which this hope is founded.

  62. David Skinner 2 Mar 2010, 1:10pm

Iris, there are many passages in the Bible that talk of God hating evil. There are equally many passages that command us to also hate all that is contrary to his word, starting with the evil in my own life. There are many passages in the Bible,Iris, that describe precisely what this evil is. Let me give you just one. I Corinthians 6:9 say, “Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders.”

  63. Eddy: “…after having sticking the knife into the deceased Kristian Digby by saying that he, RobN, felt that he, KD, enjoyed “mincing about in front of the camera”!”

Who’s sticking a knife anywhere? The guy made no bones about being gay, and from what I saw, he loved to camp it up. My comments were not meant to be an insult, in fact quite the opposite, it made him endearing. Like I said, I only saw a couple of shows with him in, but I genuinely laughed out loud at some of his innuendos.

Not everyone is “straight looking, straight acting” like you, dearie!

  64. “By contrast the Christian life is one of faith, trust and hope”

Then you “hope” we’re all going to hell. Is this it? You expect me to take the delusions of some delusional nutter like you, on a website, that you “hope” we’re all going to hell/heaven?!? LOL! Yeah, you’ve convinced me.

Skinner, you need to ask yourself why you need to hope certain people go to hell. I have a theory:- schizophrenia.

Here’s MY scientific proof, based on the evidence at hand:

    - “69.8% of our total sample of schizophrenic patients developed world end delusions once during the course of their illness [schizophrenia]”
    - “It seems that the Bible offers symbolic patterns for schizophrenic patients in order to help them to concretize acute psychotic fears.”

    [REFERENCE http://www.mentalhealth.com/mag1/scz/sb-dep1.html

Sound familiar? Occam’s Razor dictates that mental illness is more likely to be the case than a belief in an afterlife. Also, you claim to know god’s will – this is a delusional state that requires treatment.

As for a “true scientist” – sunshine, I am one, so you’ll have to do better than that.

“Tell me what you hope for and show me the scientific proof on which this hope is founded.”

This is not the question. What’s wrong, afraid to stick to the issue? The question is scientific proof for an afterlife. Off you go, I’m waiting.

But then again, it’s clear why you would want to deviate from the scientific part, is it not true you believe the earth to be 6,000 years old, despite no evidence for that “theory”, and overwhelming evidence for the scientific (and logically derived) model?

  65. Eddy, I’ve read that book. I’ve also met Dawkins. I told him what I thought of it. I think we’ll keep it between me and him. But you missed my point. I am not aligning myself with the likes of David Skinner. I was reminding him that his gospel of hate is not real Christianity and has no place here.

  66. Eddy, in fairness to Rose, its Christians like her we need more of – ones with a sense of logic, compassion and a belief that religion is a personal thing, not to be rammed down the throats of others just to make them feel one bit better about their own failings in their crappy little lives, like Skinner/Hank does.

  67. I cant beleive what you are writing David Skinner. I came on this site to read comments left for kristian and saw all your bile. You do for christians what those mad murderes who killed in London and 911 did for muslims. (They thought they were going to a better place too)
If there is a heaven and a hell, than who do you think would go to heaven. Someone full of hatred who upsets people just because their views are different to his or someone who does good to others and is a genuinely ‘nice’ person.
I think the bible quotes about treating others as you would like them to treat you – in other words – be nice to people. If heaven is full of people like you, then god help them – literally.
Anyway, I am unsure if I am a christian, so you got me going a bit there.
kristian was like a ray of sunshine on my TV. I loved to watch him on To Buy or Not to Buy. Even at my most depressed he had a gift of lifting that depression for a short while, he was funny, entertaining and appeared a really kind and caring person.
    I will really miss him.
Thankyou for all the pleasure you bought me (and the millions of other tired old housewives!)
Your parents must be so proud.

    xxxxx

  68. ChutneyBear 2 Mar 2010, 2:08pm

And you call this enjoying life!!!! And how do you know that I don’t enjoy life? You obviously know all there is to know about the life of all Christians. I am very impressed”

Well Skinner every hole is a goal so Im not gonna complain, I even took a fancy to rabbit burrows when things got really bad. By telling everyone they are going to hell it just shows how fearful you are of leading a life and crossing a certain line in case you end up in hell. How can I mock something that doesnt exist in all honesty? Im a self professed athiest, made a declaration of defection from the church and sit back and laugh at the God Fearing minorities that still inhabit this earth (and respect the ones that dont fear that f***er in the white robe). And I think being an ex Christian, I am qualified as much as the man on the moon to know everything there is to know about God, I read the book “The Idiots Guide to Heaven, Hell and Homophobia, 2000 years of life wasted because of piece of fiction”…wonderful piece of work thought me everything I needed to know. I take it you read that best seller , the one with the cross on the front who talks about a bloke who can walk on water and do more tricks than David Blane and Paul Daniels put together , not only did he do all this put the poor b**tard goes and dies at 33! …..Thats my thruppence worth and yeah I do enjoy a good rogering…..*Sigh*

  69. No, it is not wrong of PinkNews to report the Sun’s article on auto-asphyxiation. And here is why!

    1. Do any of the self-respecting posters on these threads automatically accept the word of that gutter-press newspaper, The Sun? (I am obviously not addressing the odd self-repressed nutter we unfortunately have on these threads.)

    2. The police apparently said yesterday that the death was “unexplained”. As Abi1975 rightly says, when you come upon the scene of a death by auto-asphyxiation it is pretty obvious what caused the death. You don’t then announce the death as “unexplained”!

    3. The papers, including PinkNews, report that the death occurred in Richford Road, E15. Richford Road is in West Ham. That area is synonymous with rampant homophobia. (I am surprised that a well-known, easily-recognised, national TV presenter who was gay chose to live in such an area.)

    4. Comments on the West Ham online forum reveal extraordinary hatred towards Kristian Digby.

    5. One poster on the West Ham online forum has claimed to have murdered Kristian Digby.

The poster, calling himself or herself “Darlo Debs” wrote at 10:24 Monday March 1: “OK now I just have to do in Dominic Littlewood and my mission is complete.” (Dominic Littlewood co-presented with Kristian Digby.

Another poster writes: “I notice ‘After 8′ has yet to post on this thread – maybe he has something to hide in this matter.”

    6. It would be FOOLISH for US not to consider that Digby was murdered. (Not necessarily by somebody who uses the West Ham Online forum, but by someone equally as homophobic who lives in the area.)

    7. It would be FOOLISH for us to trust that the police responsible for such events in the West Ham area would not cover up the homophobic murder of a nationally-known television presenter who was gay. West Ham police may well be of similar mind to certain West Ham Online members. We must bear in mind that it was alleged that police in nearby Essex interfered with the autopsy following the death of the Stuart Lubbock at the home of Michael Barrymore.

    8. If this was the death of someone like the heterosexual Jill Dando (the beloved TV presenter murdered in the 1990s), the nation would be looking into this matter very carefully.
    .
    .
    .
    .
Please go to the West Ham online forum and IMMEDIATELY and do a full-page screen-grab of the disgusting homophobic comments that are posted there. Please then circulate your screen-grab to everyone you know who may be concerned by these concerns. West Ham Online is sure to take the page down as soon as our concern about the homophobia of their members gets out. We need to have copies of the evidence before they remove it.

Please feel free to copy and paste the above message, together with your screen-grab, and alert as many people as you know. (I have taken a screen-grab, so if a copy is needed in future then contact me.)

There is no smoke without fire. The matter needs attention. If it proves that Kristian was entirely alone at the time of his death, then that will be a relief in terms of the possibility of his having been murdered. But we would be FOOLS to stand by and trust the police of West Ham on this one.

    The offending comments are at:
    http://www.westhamonline.net/forum_flat.php?4333196||1||

I would suggest that people hold fire for 48 hours with regard to complaining to West Ham Online. It would be best for us to alert everyone we know first, including the BBC where Kristian has many friends. Let Kristian’s friends and family see the page for themselves. Let them make the complaint.

  70. David Skinner 2 Mar 2010, 3:06pm

Will, like Chutneychops who claims to have the power of knowing what quality of life I enjoy or don‘t enjoy, you also have the power of knowing what I hope for you. Such omniscience is truly remarkable.
As for your appeal to Occam;s Razor as scientific proof that because 69.8% of a total sample of schizophrenic patients developed world end delusions once during the course of their illness [schizophrenia], then those who believe the Bible is the word of God are also schizophrenic, this is
    is similar to Morton’s Fork.
The expression originates from a policy of tax collection devised by John Morton, Lord Chancellor of England in 1487, under the rule of Henry V11.
His approach was that if the subject lived in luxury and had clearly spent a lot of money on himself, he obviously had sufficient income to spare for the king. Alternatively, if the subject lived frugally, and showed no sign of being wealthy, he must have substantial savings and could therefore afford to give it to the king. These arguments were the two prongs of the fork and regardless of whether the subject was rich or poor, he did not have a favourable choice.

But then is also like my saying that because certain baboons engage in male on male sodomy, then Will must also be a baboon; because he also practices the same behaviour. I believe they call this logic of he excluded middle.

I could also say that some scientists believe that they are the King of Siam, teapots or poached eggs , therefore Will is poached egg. There also some who claim to be both Queens, poached eggs and scientists. But hey, Will, we are entering the realms of self – identification.

No Will, this was not the scientific proof for which I asked and you know it. I asked Chutneychps whether he had indeed been the other side of death so that he could tell us what he saw and heard.

  71. “then those who believe the Bible is the word of God are also schizophrenic”

Nope, that’s not what I said. Please learn to read, it demeans me to drop to your level all the time. I said YOU were schizophrenic. Common sense dictates it the most obvious cause of your delusions that makes you think your a demi-god like figure who can hand out summary justice on behalf of god. But I suspect you are aware of this condition on some level already in yourself.

“I could also say that some scientists believe that they are the King of Siam, teapots or poached eggs , therefore Will is poached egg.”

That statement is not a paragon of logic. It does, however, makes you an uneducated fool. If you cannot understand science and logic, please refrain from thinking you can use it, it only makes me more inclined to think there is something profoundly wrong with you.

“No Will, this was not the scientific proof for which I asked and you know it”

I’ll assume from this statement, you are incapable of finding me the proof I sought? No surprise there. So, no proof of an aferlife. No proof of hell. None of heavben. None of a god. But, you think you can speak on gods behalf and know his will? Hmmm. Indeed. Back to the schizophrenic square, aren’t we.

You obvious lack of intellect combined with an inability to focus on one issue shows a rather dysfunctional mind and an incoherent train of thought typical of someone with learning difficulties. And is no wonder that secularism is prevailing in Europe if you are the “vanguard of religious orthodoxy”….! Don’t make me laugh…

Poor Skinner… always trying to play catchup with the enlightened homosexuals.

  72. ChutneyBear, well done. Have made a note. Story has been sent to BBC and major papers. Will also forward details you have located.

  73. LOL!!!!!! Skinner, Will is running circles around you, man! Get out while you’re ahead!!!

  74. ChutneyBear 2 Mar 2010, 3:40pm

David Skinhead, your logic is based solely on what you have read in a book that gives advice to what was relevant when the wheel was just being invented or just abouts. Have I been close to death? Yes I have I had cancer a couple of years back and came to certain realisations that made me sit up and realise you only get one shot at life. As for your baboon hypothesis, if God exists and we are all going to hell does that mean he isnt all loving then? So if God is all loving and all giving then why would he care what we did if we are not harming others? I fail to see Skinhead I really do…

  75. ChutneyBear 2 Mar 2010, 3:41pm

would love to continue this on facebook lads if anyone is on it denfromdublin@gmail.com

  76. it’s a tragedy (RIP Kriastian Dirby)- no matter how he died and I didn’t hear that it was possibly due to a solo sex act gone wrong
David Skinner – you are spouting BS as the bible’s mistranslated and misunderstood, ‘homosexual’ was added in the 1950′s plus the term ‘homosexual’ was coined in 1868
    your own religion condemns you

  77. David Skinner 2 Mar 2010, 6:47pm

I am afraid that it is pretty obvious that nothing I say, or more crucially what the Bible says will have any effect on those who are earmarked for destruction. As the sun melts ice, it also hardens clay. As God’s word will soften the hearts and consciences of some, tragically, it hardens the heats and minds others. No amount of so-called logic or debate will alter the facts. This game of chess is futile for the game was won a long time ago: on the cross. Jesus Christ came to pay the penalty that we deserve and moreover to renew the broken relationship that we had with his father in heaven. If we deliberately trample on the cross by continuing in sin, there is only judgement left. I didn’t say that; it is written in the Bible. So when you in forty years, forty days or forty minutes come face to face with your maker, I suggest you take it up with him.

  78. There is no maker you blind blithering drivelling idiot. Go away.

    Go watch some porn.

Then beat yourself afterwards until you’re pure again.

  79. “I am afraid that it is pretty obvious that nothing I say, or more crucially what the Bible says will have any effect on those who are earmarked for destruction.”

When you able to follow all what the bible says, contradictions and all, I’ll be first to listen…. until then, you just can’t seem to answer one question properly, which leads me to conclude you know you are a hypocrite with a mental health issue.

“So when you in forty years, forty days or forty minutes come face to face with your maker, I suggest you take it up with him.”

Yeah, sure, I’ll do that… as soon as you “go take up” with a good physiotherapist to get a prescription of Clozapine, there’s a good fellow. And then the “voices of god” will go away, okay?

    Bye now!

THIS SICKO who insists on sparring back and forth, within a group/community,
reaching out to each other, doesn’t have a belief in a god, but a preverted,
warped sense of self nothingless, hiding behind a book(bible)spouting
meaningless quotes/passages of his own jaded interpatations.

Dear Departing One: I did not know you, Yet I do, as you make your
final transition to the unseen world
May your journey be one of Beauty

  81. it is written in the book of Bart Simpson ” Bite Me’
there’s others books that don’t symbolise such evil
why corrupt a thread about a tragic death?

  82. Kristian will be very much missed.

He’d be laughing though , being that some of you slagged him off on here!!

  83. cor, who is this awful squidge with its awful little finger, pointing at every one else, “youse all slagged him off, youse did”! grow up child! as far as I can see on this thread most people have been showing real concern. go play with your dollies.

  84. Kristian Digby seemed a charming and entertaining young man, and it’s a great great shame he’s had such an untimely death.

It’s also a great shame that there are trolls who feel the need to use his death to promote their hysterical, illogical and unwelcome agendas.

Will (post 80 and before), you do well, and thank you for providing the voice of reason and sanity; but you’re wasting your time and your intelligence on pond life that isn’t worth it. Do not feed the troll!

  85. It does not matter if he was gay or not, what it matters is his accomplishments and his conduct. He seemed to be a good person. It is very sad to hear about his death at such a young age. He fulfilled a big dream: to built the house of his dreams! RIP KD

Time and time again,as one in our community leaves this seen
world, into the unseen, the bible thumpers seem to take delight
as they dance on our graves/memories, spouting their hate, through
    untruths/spiritual lies, quotes, passages, etc.
For you (of posts 36,37,38,44,61,62,71,78)shame!!! ,this topic of
loss in our community, could have done quite well with out you, pushing
your sick rants into view. Shame, you had not the decency to shut up.

Thanks you for you comment, and I hear you on feeding the troll, you’re right, of course, he’s a wasted cause. But I think ignoring them allows their corrupt message to be heard by the vulnerable and impressionable. I believe it’s our job to stand up to these people, every time, and without hesitation, show them up for what they are – mindless, damaged and corrupt people. We’ve taken it on the chin too many time allowing these sanctimonious basket cases to ruin our lives, and I for one won’t accept that either in my daily life or in an internet site. Just think, if someone came onto this site, perhaps just come out, how would they think of the rest of us if we let creatures like Sinner run amok on OUR site? I say don’t feed the trolls, but also, don’t let them the privilege of resting here either :)

Still, Skinner hadn’t the bottle or brains to even make an attempt to back up his nonsense this time, I see that as a victory in itself!

  88. Will (#88) – ‘I say don’t feed the trolls, but also, don’t let them the privilege of resting here either’

Well said Will! I for one quite enjoyed you thrashing that vile little toad!!!!! Youre a testament to the power of intellect over the absurd. Skinner ran with his bible between his legs HA!

  89. Steve Weaver (U.K.) 3 Mar 2010, 3:36pm

Such a genuine, nice guy. Tragic.

  90. David Skinner lives in Dorset

This is what he looks like. (If he removes the picture now that we are on to him, I have a copy I can send you, or join “My pink news to get a copy)
    http://www.roadcyclinguk.com/localiser/MyProfile.asp?sp=&v=1&memno=105633

Lets protest out side his church and the school where he teaches.

  91. Time to stop the media fuelled speculation – a really nice young man died – the post mortem report drew no conclusions therefore sexual strangulation was not the reason. Stop it people – even young people die of natural causes and Kristian does not deserve the lurid speculation. How would you be feeling if it were your brother or friend being speculated over when there is NO evidence of any of this. The police are bound to investigate and they will take any items from a house that they may have any suspicions about. I repeat the post mortem was inconclusive if there had been a result they would have said so.

  92. well said Will; we (gay and straight) all need to stand up to these numpties. I can’t believe that there are still people who believe in the total fairytale that is god and the virgin birth etc etc. Evolution is far more beautiful and intelligent an explanation. I for one am heartily sick of the elevated position these fools – and especially the frocked ones – enjoy in our society.
RIP Kristian – what a great guy he was.
