I once had a student brought up in San Francisco who had spent her childhood among gay men. She found homophobia utterly incomprehensible. We need so many more young people like this!!!
I find the people that really don’t have a problem with gays are the ones that are utterly confident about their own heterosexuality.
It’s the one’s that are convinced you can ‘make’ someone gay that are the real danger. I think it’s not a case of making someone gay, but that one might reveal their true, buried sexuality that they are really worried about.
RobN – too true. Normal people don’t care what others do in bed. Only those with their own issues keep going on about it – and the more aggressively they do so, the less secure they are in their own sexuality, in my opinion.
Daniel Radcliffe is truly a young man to admire. And like AndrewQ I also have a couple of close straight friends who equally hate homophobic small minded tw*ts as much as I do!
