5:52 PM — The MP who tabled Uganda's anti-homosexuality bill has said he may amend parts of it. David Bahati had previously refused to change provisions which would impose the death penalty or life imprisonment on gays, saying they would protect the "traditional family".

A news report has suggested that along with legislative change, attitudes to homosexuality in the capital are slowly becoming more positive, with gay Bollywood storylines and even a gay pride shop.

3:36 PM — An NHS review on cervical cancer has said that more should be done to raise awareness of cervical cancer in lesbians. Historically, it was believed that the HPV virus, one of the causes of cervical cancer, could only be transmitted through sexual contact with men.

12:14 PM — A video urging Christians to take action against the Equality Bill is to be shown in churches this weekend. Christian Concern for Our Nation warns that under the bill, churches will be sued for not employing "practising homosexuals".
