  1. A £20,000 loan, how does this make them financially secure? Ever since this new lot took over it’s been a farce.

  2. The Brighton pride brings in millions of pounds into the Brighton and Hove economy each year. Its time the city council secured the event with more funding not poxy loans.

  3. Well, gays can’t organise a piss-up in a brewery. They spend too much time squabbling and in-fighting. Virtually every gay demo / pride / get-together seems to end up with them financially broke, and divided into two or more camps. If they can’t make a financially viable event, then either leave it to the straights who can, or dump the whole damned idea.

Incidentally, I’ve also noticed gay men want everything for nothing and are as tight as a duck’s arse when it comes to putting their hands in their pockets. I speak from experience having waved fund-raising buckets at Gay Pride, and for Lighthouse/THT.

*Waits for the rabid accusations of ‘internalised homophobia’ from all the PC crowd out there. Yes, well before you open your whinging gobs complaining yet again at your persecution, try examining the facts and demonstrate otherwise.*

  4. Sorry to disappoint, RobN, I won’t be accusing you of any internalised homophobia. But I think you’re wrong, at least in Brighton’s case, I think that in this case, it’s merely that the present incumbents aren’t really up to the job. That and the fact that I believe that with all the new parade restrictions they are trying to squeeze out all the voluntary organisations. People aren’t so inclined to turn up if they can’t see something which has some significance to them, that’s a loss of revenue. It doesn’t help that the council, now under tory control has cancelled a load of grants, Brighton Pride being one of them. Poor weather and the recession were also a factor. Don’t think it’s much to do with screaming camp poofs tearing each others extensions out.

Haha, everyone who disagrees with you is “PC”. Nice try. I’ve examined the “facts” and found nothing but hot air. If you want to prove that homosexuals are genetically predisposed to be worse people than your beloved heterosexuals, it’s going to take a lot more than anecdotal evidence from the paltry sum of one person. Go find some psychological studies on the matter. You won’t, but go ahead and try anyway.

Maybe you should try shutting that fat gob of yours for once then.
Just like everyone who disagrees with you is “homophobic”.
