Singer George Michael had to apologise after saying f**ker on Chris Evans’ BBC Radio 2 drivetime show.

The star, who co-hosted the latter part of the show, was asked why he had never appeared on Top Gear’s ‘star in a reasonably-priced car’ feature.

Apparently unaware the show had no time delay, Michael replied: “Other than the fact I’d be afraid of coming last in that f**ker.”

Evans quickly apologised and pointed out that the show was broadcast as it was recorded.

Michael also apologised, saying “I use that word far too readily. It’s because I know you so well, Chris.”
