    YESSSSSSS GO DC!!!!

This will be the “second reading” vote. A bill has to pass a 2nd reading stage before passing DC council!!!!

Then the Mayor has to sign it – then do not get your hopes up just yet. Remember Congress has a 30 day review period and they might just as well “change there mind”.

Domestic partnerships will continue as well as allowing gay marriage in the AMENDED Bill.

The original bill repeals Domestic Partnerships on 1 January, 2011.

I fully agree in KEEP domestic partnerships all in-tact!!!!!

Look here for the latest infomation on the progress (first reading)

    http://www.dccouncil.washington.dc.us/lims/legislation.aspx?LegNo=B18-0482&Description=RELIGIOUS-FREEDOM-AND-CIVIL-MARRIAGE-EQUALITY-AMENDMENT-ACT-OF-2009.&ID=23204

I faught very hard for ANY SORT OF a “relationship recognition models” (or RRMs) as I call them that includes – civil union, civil partnership, life partnership, co-association, stable union, de facto partner, common-law marriage, unregistered cohabitation, domestic partnership, marriage, etc, etc, etc all over the world as well as many gay issues since 23 May 2007 and I am only 23 years old.

Kevin Rudd (our PM) is such an old bigot from another planet or galaxy who is so far out of touch with Australians on gay issues – because most Aussies [60 percent of them] SUPPORT gay marriage!!!!!

  2. They’ve voted 11-2 in favor!
    Wowwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
