  1. This is interesting in comparison with the other article where Michael says he doens’t need help, least of all from Elton!

George Michael is a mess, and in denial about his drug problem.

It is wildly inappropriate for David Furnish to be commenting on George Michael’s circumstances in view of the fact that by Furnish’s own admission “I haven’t seen him in such a long time.”

If George Michael needs help then it is not David Furnish’s job to help him or indeed to comment about his situation to any newspaper that asks him.

I can see why George Michael made the comments he did about Elton John. Who elected John and Furnish as the voice of their gay generation?

David Furnish could have shown an inkling of class if he had responded to the questions about George Michael by saying ‘I don’t know – Elton or I have not seen him in years – so I can’t possibly comment on his personal situation’

If George Michael needs help then he will get help. David Furnish is not helping him by gossiping about him to the press.
