Well, like I always say, as long as you’ve got your ‘elf!
Come to think of it I was recently playing a game a friend was showing to me where when you reached the end of your level you had the option of changing the gender of your character with a magic potion!
The dress code remained the same though, so I wound up playing with a very flamboyantly dressed buff male character in a little black dress cut off at the groin with knee length leather boots. Now that’s an option you won’t find in “Grand Theft Auto”! So transgender is already catered for

I believe its an 18-certificate game by the BBFC, but I bet there will still be parents moaning about the scene because they bought it for their very much under-18 child/teenager.

Actually, having thought about this, I am slightly offended at the implicit heteronormativity here. The game has 6 NPC characters with whom it is possible to enter into a romance – three male and three female. Of these six, four are only interested in heterosexual liasons, while two will swing either way.

Now, I don’t know about anyone else, but four heteros and two bis doesn’t sound particularly inclusive to me. There are no exclusively gay characters at all. It seems that the two bisexual options were included specifically to pander to the pink pound, but the developers couldn’t bring themselves to include content that the straight audience wouldn’t be able to identify with too. What they should have done was make ALL the NPCs willing to go either way, so anybody could enjoy it. Either that or have at least one character who would not respond to the advances of the opposite sex.

Nor, in fact, does it have to be between a man and an elf. You can choose to play as an elf yourself if you want. There’s also a female-female option if you choose a female character and want to try to romance Leliana.

I am going to have to get this game. All my teenage fantasies of gay elf romances come true!

This is not a “secret sex scene.” Zevran, who is a Elven rogue, is one of four companions with whom you can have a romance, and one of two same-sex options. Also, all of them are equally easily romanceable.

It’s not really that secret as Zevran’s the easiest person to romance in the game. Have yet to see anyone who’s played the game bitch about it ever even the fanboys which is never a bad thing.
