Am I reading this correctly? A lesbian soldier has effectively been outed, suffers gross abuse, applies for a discharge and is REFUSED?
So if you are outed, receive death threats and suffer abuse the authorities deny a request for a discharge …. but if you are outed, don’t suffer abuse, and you are possibly an extremely valuable soldier [e.g. an Arabic specialist] you get booted out ‘against your will’!!!
Makes you wonder what kind of numpties are running the American military … even a bad policy, and DADT isn’t just bad, it’s also dumb and evil, should be administered with some consistence!
