Thirty three thousand Civil Partnerships last year! Mine was in 2006 with the man of my dreams. And No, Ian Burford was not the cause of Lillian Ladele’s problem, It was here Fundamentalist idiocy that done it!

  2. I guess this story is the first fruits of Pink’s new association with The Guardian!

Actually, we are thinking of having a daily feature to provide a round-up of ‘other stuff you might have missed’. This is a test for that. It would include links to comment pieces from broadsheets, that sort of thing. This Guardian story was chosen just because it was interesting. Let us know if you have any thoughts on the idea.

  4. Actually that article said nothing. With his CP how much residance did he get from authorities after the death from his partner. Was everyone accepting? Did they completly reconise their CP, I’m interested in the yes and the no’s. Having a friend of mine who is in hospital, seriously ill, and who’s ‘wife’ is struggling to get people there to talk to her and not the very ex-husband or mother. Did Ian have these troubles too. Is CP taken seriously, when it counts.

  5. LornaM makes very good points there. Similar ones were running through my mind on that subject. The article fails to touch on a lot of issues that it could have gone into.

Jessica and Ben, don’t be so paranoid. you don’t have to jump in to defend Pink News every five minutes. Concentrate on that ‘original journalism’ and don’t forget to check the grammar and spelling and everyone will be happy.
