Good for the 1,500 who did the vigil and NO, please don’t be critical about the police; reaction there are good and bad in every orgnaisation and a lot of police officers are trying their best to support Gay People!

Read the BBC article – under comments someone has the temerity to suggest that if it wasn’t for Gay pride sending out a signal that gays get preferential treatment this wouldn’t happen.
I’d like to point out to Helen that when she next gets beaten up by total strangers in the street or denied the right to marry for being straight or see her straight kids bullied in school playgrounds for being straight she can lobby for her proposed “Straight pride” or her own straight district in the city of her choice.
However, in the meantime she should thank her lucky stars she doesn’t have to contend with that kind of discrimination on a daily basis and put a sock in it.

Too bad I can’t fly over to England and when they release those a-sholes from jail to grab em and hang em to the nearest tree limp. If that were to happen over here the cops would get everyone of those pricks and get em the once over because cops protect their own.In most states attacking and injuring a policeman carries long prison sentences regardless rather you’ve gay or not, and everyone of those scumbags would be tried as adults over here. And should they ever get out the cops would be waiting for them when they go off duty to work em over good. But it seems Jolly Old England protects their criminals.
