We support Chaz’s gender re-assignment because he a male born into a female body, and that was causing him psychological trauma. That’s nothing to do with eradicating lesbianism. Being gay or straight is about which sex you’re attracted to. I imagine that being born into the a gender-mismatching body must be even more fundamentally emotionally crippling.

Personally, I was hoping for a much more eleborate story. I’ll be standing in line to buy Chaz’ book, you can be sure of that.
