I hope the Pentagon has the decency to recind all the ‘Discharges’ and ‘Dishonourable Discharges’ dished out to gay service personnel over the years.

The US Army Secretary didn’t just think this up and say it on the spur of the moment. Clearly the Obama administration is doing a considerable amount of work behind the scenes to prepare the US for the lifting of the ban. I actually trust Obama on this one and think he will deliver but its politically a much bigger issue in the States and need adroit handling.

The idea of opening it up in phases is fobbing the community off, a sop to the religious right, a crackpot scheme that should be opposed. It is not backed up with any sound reasoning.

About Time Too. Gay Military personel have proved themselves over many years that their sexuality, in no way dose not interfere with their duties in the services.
