By the way, Argentina is mullling same-sex marriage, 20 lawmakers or more currently supporting it. Way to go!

Go New York! I’d move there if it weren’t so expen$ive. Why can’t we get that in NJ? All we got is a governor who doesn’t wear his seat belt and promises in theory to support civil unions and an ex-governor who lost his post when he was outed.

Robert, don’t lose hope for gay marriage in the UK. Here, have some of our US optimism- yes you can! Obama doesn’t seem to be changing much for LGBT Americans, but maybe the slogan will work in the UK. Maybe if you chant it with a sexy British accent the magic will happen.

Well remember that New York was once called “New Amsterdam” – because Amsterdam is in the Netherlands and was the first country in the 21st century (in April 2001) to allow same sex marriage and 6 years later then I fully supported same sex marriages (unlike Kevin Rudd [PM of Australia] who sufferes from a very severe case of “gay marriage-phobia”).

Pete & Michael, do you really think so? Maybe I’m a pessimist, but I don’t. StonewallUK doesn’t support it nor does it consider it part of its agenda because it believes that LGBT people have all the rights they need and arrogantly assume they speak for the entire LGBT population in the UK. I was rebuffed when I asked them about it. All they did was chant the civil partnership mantra as the be all and end all. I’m fortunate enough to be living in New York and hope it passes. Still, even if it doesn’t this time around….New York’s gays can go to several other states and legally marry and their marriages will be recognised in New York state.

The state cult, the C of E, in collusion with their sister roman cult, will make sure it doesn’t happen and we all know that no Prime Minister would have the courage to confront them, no matter which party they represent. Cameron certainly won’t want to touch it, political suicide.
