thank you pink news for being the only media outlet who didnt report her former name. thank you for allowing her to be remembered as she was- andres. why her parents revealed the details are anyones guess, but the fact that papers posted it is nothing short of disgusting.

Xana. I understand that her parents and the police only confirmed what had already been revealed by a certain unsavoury national newspaper the day before.
Judging by their own article, it appears that this particular newspaper decided to dig a bit deeper into the victim’s background, spoke to past student associates of hers at her old Uni, and then broke the story as a “scoop”.
To add insult to injury, the paper then allowed “moderated in advance” comments and debate under the on-line article. Some of the comments they selected for publication were appalling, but have since been removed.
I saw the article before it mentioned poor Andrea was “T” and I hadn’t an inkling, just thought another poor girl murdered.
Also one comment I saw should have been investigated by the police…how it got thru moderation was anybody’s guess !. well did my bit and reported abuse. I urge anyone if they read abusive messages on these newspaper comment sites ..dont just sit there..report it !.

They won’t let us forget it in life, nor it seems in death. Only answer is to be as proud to be Trans in both life and death.

A lot of this thread seems to have got away from the sad fact that a woman has been strangled by a killer who then set fire to her home to hide the murder. That is the only thing that matters, along with what effort the police are making to find the killer.
