    RIP Andrea
    You will not be forgotten
    -x-

My sincere sympathy to her family and friends.

  3. Rest in peace, Andrea.

  4. thank you pink news for being the only media outlet who didnt report her former name. thank you for allowing her to be remembered as she was- andres. why her parents revealed the details are anyones guess, but the fact that papers posted it is nothing short of disgusting.

one day i hope that a transsexuals death will be simply reported as the death of a man or woman. must we be defined in death as transexuals?

  5. Xana. I understand that her parents and the police only confirmed what had already been revealed by a certain unsavoury national newspaper the day before.
Judging by their own article, it appears that this particular newspaper decided to dig a bit deeper into the victim’s background, spoke to past student associates of hers at her old Uni, and then broke the story as a “scoop”.
To add insult to injury, the paper then allowed “moderated in advance” comments and debate under the on-line article. Some of the comments they selected for publication were appalling, but have since been removed.

  6. I saw the article before it mentioned poor Andrea was “T” and I hadn’t an inkling, just thought another poor girl murdered.
Also one comment I saw should have been investigated by the police…how it got thru moderation was anybody’s guess !. well did my bit and reported abuse. I urge anyone if they read abusive messages on these newspaper comment sites ..dont just sit there..report it !.

They won’t let us forget it in life, nor it seems in death. Only answer is to be as proud to be Trans in both life and death.

  8. It saddens me that the article says Andrea was “born male”. No, she was perhaps born with male genitalia, as I was and others were but we were never male.

Andromeda, yes be proud of our poisoned chalice.

  9. theotherone 19 Oct 2009, 5:42pm

do we yet know if it was her Gender Status that led to her death? To not report that she was ‘Trans’ is like (or perhaps is if you allow your language to get a little sloppy to allow a cheap shot) reporting a Homophobic murder without reporting said person’s Sexuality.

  10. theotherone 19 Oct 2009, 5:44pm

Jane: ‘our poisoned chalice’? Climb down off your crucifix. I’m sick of ‘Transpeople’ playing the victim.

If we want equality we need to be proud not pathetic.

  11. theotherone 19 Oct 2009, 5:48pm

and may I also point out that She was a post Grad student – she was doing her fvck1ng Doctorate! To minimize her achievements while listing her sufferings is deeply Genderphobic so just what you expect from Pink News eh?

  12. Theotherone, did I say “victim”? Or even imply “victim”?
It’s a poisoned chalice I’m proud of, READ WHAT I WROTE!
The pathetic one is YOU with your idiotic reactions.

  13. theotherone 19 Oct 2009, 6:02pm

what you said (to quote the whole sentence) was: ‘Andromeda, yes be proud of our poisoned chalice.’

Perhaps i misunderstood that but ‘poisoned chalice’ suggests victimhood to me. If this was not what you intended then can you please explain your almost gothic turn of phrase?

  14. You’re fixated on “victimhood”, you have a serious problem, theotherone.

  15. theotherone 19 Oct 2009, 6:10pm

I’m sorry but it’s not me that’s making a cross for my identity to hang on.

i asked you to explain your statement, can you please do that?

  16. What are you talking about????????????????????????
“making a cross for my identity to hang on”???????????????
    Where does that come from????????????????????????
Who mentioned a “crucifix” or a “cross”?????????????
Definitely not the brightest button in the box!

  17. theotherone 19 Oct 2009, 6:21pm

    avoiding the topic Jane.

can you PLEASE explain you original post?

You state you’re not interested in victimhood and I sighted your original post as proof that you where. I have given you the opportunity to explain yourself and since you refuse to do this I must assume that I (pardon the continued Crucifixion puns) have hit the nail on the head.

  18. How kind of you to “give me the opportunity to explain myself” when you have completely misunderstood my post anyway. Go back and read and try to get your “mind” to understand, better still try to understand yourself first before labelling others. Btw, that would be “cited”, not “sighted”, at first I thought you were attempting a somewhat more intelligent pun but then realised that would be beyond you.

  19. theotherone 19 Oct 2009, 6:38pm

after several rapid posts it appears that Jane has run away.

In future, Jane, less ad-femme attacks eh?

Of intrest the following newspapers have more information on this woman’s studies and her non-pathetic life:

    the daily mail

    the northen echo

    the independent

the southport visitor (regrettable Gender pronouns but more information)

well that’s enough to prove a point isn’t it?

  20. theotherone 19 Oct 2009, 6:43pm

    more atacks Jame, more atacks.

Still you refuse to discuss your origional post. I have read it and re read it and still find the same meaning in it but you wil lhave me read it again? OK:

‘be proud of our poisoned chalice.’

Nope, still have the same interpretation of it and, as I have myself a post Graduate qualification in English Literature, am a published poet I think I can speak with some authority on the subject of interpreting texts however if you can show where I have gone wrong…

  21. Oh dear, the needle’s stuck!

Dear published poet, my academic qualifications trump yours rather substantially, even in your field. However, putting that aside, a dictionary might be a rather good investment for you, “atack” actually has two “t”‘s, my name isn’t “Jame”, “intrest” has two “e”‘s. Your spelling is almost in fact as good as your comprehension and reading. More “atacks”, no it’s that you’re the one with the victim complex, classically seeking to perceive in others what you deny in yourself.

  22. Maybe you two could stop your personal argument out of respect for Andrea Waddell please!

  23. theotherone 19 Oct 2009, 7:59pm

    my apologies abi.

My real problem with this story, as I said, was that Pink News have yet again misrepresented a news story featuring a Trannie.

  24. A “trannie”, what a revealing choice of epithet.
This woman has been murdered but she’s merely a “trannie”!
You really must be a sad individual.

  25. theotherone 19 Oct 2009, 8:17pm

jane: if you care to have a look on this page you will find that i tend to use ‘offensive’ language to highlight double standards and unstated prejudices please don’t misrepresent me and please accept what abi had to say regarding our little spat.

  26. Jean-Paul Bentham 19 Oct 2009, 8:36pm

    theotherone:

Way to go; keep refering to the poisoned chalice.

I believe Jane is goading you on, just like Monkeychops doesWhat exactly does a “poisoned chalice” mean? And what is its connection to a tanssexual’s murder?

Your spelling …who cares about that?!

I’ll support you against Jane till we have shoved ‘her’ head back up its *sshole.

Thread disrupter, just like Monkeychops, Aviad, Sugar Plum Fairy, etc., etc., etc.

Imitating Fred Phelps barging into the funeral ceremonies of killed gay American soldiers with a sign that says: GOD HATE FAGS.

“Jane” should simply express a word of sympathy to Andrea’s family, that’s all. But ‘Jane’ will never do that, never, not ever.

  27. Oh dear, how eloquent.
What was that about “education, education, education………”
Way to go, way to go………….

  28. theotherone 19 Oct 2009, 8:52pm

jane: there was a woman killed and you seem to want to spend your time here in petty point scoring.

Can you please either p1ss 0ff or contribute to this debate in a meaningful way?

Please everyone: let’s just get on with discussing this woman’s LIFE as much as her death.

  29. Mihangel apYrs 19 Oct 2009, 9:02pm

I long for the day when what we are isn’t as important as WHO we are. I want Pride to die out leaving only a party. I want all the work networks to become moribund. I want one’s sexuality, gender, etc to be irrelevant.

I also want Father Christmas to bring me a cute hard working housboy.

I’m likely to get the latter first!!

Hope Andrea’s find peace, and if there is anything beyond the curtain that she has found whatever she would seek

  30. Mihangel apYrs 19 Oct 2009, 9:03pm

    Doh
    that should have read:
“I hope Andrea’s family find peace”

  31. Jean-Paul Bentham 19 Oct 2009, 9:30pm

“Jane” should simply express a word of sympathy to Andrea’s family, that’s all.

But ‘Jane’ will never do that, never, not ever.

  32. Omigod, what a bunch of losers, no place for a decent trans girl to waste her time!

  33. theotherone 19 Oct 2009, 9:48pm

alas apyers we will all draw our pensions before equality is achieved.

  34. Jean-Paul Bentham 20 Oct 2009, 1:11am

“Jane” should simply express a word of sympathy to Andrea’s family, that’s all.

But ‘Jane’ will never do that, never, not ever.

Go, and take your poisoned chalice with you, troll. Go and find Monkeychops and figure out more ways to double-talk.

    How’s me spelling, Mother Superior?

  35. How limited you are.

  36. Jean-Paul Bentham 20 Oct 2009, 8:57am

    Jane:

“Jane” should simply express a word of sympathy to Andrea’s family, that’s all.

For all i know you are not a Trans at all; you may be the one who murdered Andrea!

You certainly don’t have anything sympathy in you, eh Jane baby. TROLL.

  37. Jean-Paul Bentham 20 Oct 2009, 9:02am

    Jane:

Try to integrate this into your wide vision of reality, nitwit:

    http://www.youtube dot com/watch?v=_qxjocm5fCc

It’s never too late to apologize, honey.

  38. very, very limited.
Enjoy your apology of a life.

  39. Re message 36, for all I know you may not have a brain but I’ve given you the benefit of the doubt, against overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

  40. Jean-Paul Bentham 20 Oct 2009, 10:33am

    Jane:

Your appraisal of me amounts to a hill of beans…it means nothing to me at all.

But there is still time to express your sympathy to Andrea’s family, or have you forgotten all about her.

    Excuse me, I’m so limited…

  41. A lot of this thread seems to have got away from the sad fact that a woman has been strangled by a killer who then set fire to her home to hide the murder. That is the only thing that matters, along with what effort the police are making to find the killer.

  42. theotherone 20 Oct 2009, 6:07pm

Rose: Pink news dosn’t seem to care and have bumped this off it’s front page within 24 hours of it going up.

  43. Jean-Paul Bentham 20 Oct 2009, 10:16pm

    Jane:

You are a thread disrupter, just like Monkeychops, Aviad, Sugar Plum Fairy, etc., etc., etc.

“Jane” should simply express a word of sympathy to Andrea’s family, that’s all.

But ‘Jane’ will never do that, never, not ever, will she…innit.

  44. theotherone 21 Oct 2009, 11:17am
