  1. This on the anniversary of the death of Matthew Shepard! Has anything been learnt at all? Has anything changed?

  2. I struggle with the idea of “hate crime.” If this same physical crime would have happened to one of my str8 friends how that would somehow be a better less offensive crime makes no sense to me.

Yeah-but Reid-it wouldn`t have happened to one of your straight mates, would it? They would have left him alone-wouldn“t they? They were looking for a “fag” to beat up weren`t they? And-the only reason they beat him was because they “hate fags” wasn`t it?

Every crime is a hate crime. If they were shouting “House on Fire!” while they beat him up, but often in life said gay hating things, would that make it any different?
Meanwhile, the last 2 on 1 w/ men I knew about, everyone was gay. I find it VERY gay to want to physically touch someone even to kick them ass. When any 2 guys are beating on a third, or that gang mentality comes into play, the abusers are always yelling faggot, they just happened to get it right this time. Breeder men get their asses kicked like this too.
But this story is misleading, the headline makes it seem like he was beaten into a coma, but he was medically put in one.

Reid, look at John’s comment. Nobody commits hate crimes against straights just because they’re straight, do they? There has not been one such crime committed. Now if a gay man or woman went out and uttered anti straight slurs and then beat the crap out of a straight, then that would be treated as a hate crime, deservedly so. Get it?

Obama passed the hate crime bill and now when anybody commits a hate crime the penalty is double, but in this case they ought to be charged with attempted murder in the first degree. These homophobics got that way because of religion, therefore any religion that teaches people hatred and violence against others ought to be outlawed. Any religion that causes suffering to other should be denied to exist. All preachers who preach this hatred should be labeled criminals and made to register with the police as threats to society and anyone that commits a hate crime should be admitted to a insane asylum for the rest of their natural life as a threat to society.

  7. I pray he is ok after this – this sort of thing is unacceptable – it is obvious a lot more work needs to be done in America to educate the populace about gays.

I am all for an attempted murder rap. If dies, upgrade it to murder one. This was a malicious crime perpetrated by those thugs because the man is gay.

Oh and menstruator, if the man had not been beaten to within an inch of his life, there would be no reason for him being put into a coma.
