  1. She will if the price is right

  2. Do what Bruno did, and swap him for an iPod.

  3. This is not a gay issue. He is not an orphan. There are othr kids that have no one.

  4. I read in yesterday’s paper (yes, I know that doesn’t make it true :D) that Elton was looking to adopt in other countries anyway.

Dear God, what are the life chances for this poor kid?

Are HIV meds available to the mother?

What are the chances she will be able to stick to any sort of compliance regime as an alcoholic (recovering at the moment, but possibly soon to be relapsed)?

Is she likely ever to be able to support the children financially?

Would the authorities ever agree to the children being placed back with her, or will they spend their entire childhoods in the orphanage?

Why has she suddenly crawled into the limelight now to fight for her children, when apparently she didn’t fight sufficiently hard to avoid them being taken into care?

It should be about the child – a child who has his whole future ahead of him. This woman cannot and will not give him a good future.

I’m sure Elton John will be more than happy to pay for her treatment. In the long run this child will have a better life with his birth mother assuming she can sort herself out. Perhaps the threat of the child being removed from the country and the thought of never seeing him again will give his mother encouragement to sort herself out.

Because being a recovering alcoholic and cocaine addict himself Elton John should have a special sympathy for her plight.

    Sister Mary Clarence:

  9. Sister Mary, if you are truly a Catholic nun and not just being cute, you of all people should never have spoken up. The Catholic Church steals children from their mothers and sells them to the highest bidder at the drop of a hat. Maybe you all have straightened out and become more ethical over the years but somehow I doubt it, given your response to the child molestation charges from all over the world.

If an adult having mental health problems or physical health problems or life setbacks was reason enough to take a child from his mother permanently then none of us should be parents, because any of us can have serious problems at any time. Wow, let’s just give all our kids to the State and let them raise them.

I’m so tired of people casually discussing the dissolution of a family like it has no more impact on that family than choosing between Coke and Pepsi. How cold-blooded a person has to be to approve of such things, I hope I never discover.

  10. If Elton wants to give the child a better life he could give him a trust fund? Or bring the family over here to live in one of his houses(!)

  11. Elton,

I love you. I have since I was a teenager. I feel like we have grown up together. I would love to see you have children. Take care of this little one that you love so much as best you can, and hopefully you will discover another to love just as much. It is very difficult in any state, in any county, no matter what the family relationship regarding parents, to take a child from his mother against her will.
