  1. So he is fined £1200 and told not to get caught in future a pathetic punishment. What it says is you can get away with it with your job you would not if the comments where racist. I know in my job I would be sacked if I made racist comments, I might even be reported to the police for my actions.

  2. As a gay man who has had two IPCC investigations regarding police conduct? I no longer trust the IPCC at all when it comes to homophobic incidents involving police misconduct & even criminality.

    Goody Gum Drops, I am only glad this case was brought to our attension. I’m equally glad the Police homophobic crud has had a kick in the slatts!

  4. The Loss of 13 days is a pathetic punishment for a Police Officer. Such an offence surely warrants dimissal from the force.Instead they have opted to put him slightly out of pocket for a month. This punishment will send out a message within the police force, especially CID that such comments are not really that serious.

    How is that not gross misconduct? How are people expected to have any faith in *their* police force when it’s this full of bigots like this?
