Not only isn’t it news, it’s rather embarrassing. PN does have this tendency to report that some nonentity has said nice things about LGBT people – symptomatic of a writer or editor who is not very confident in their sexuality and grabs at straws to prove that they are all right really. The old GLF term for this was “self-oppression”. Not something we need to have encouraged!
