  1. I don’t think a sex club sounds like a good idea, whether it’s a gay one or straight one. Isn’t that the sort of thing that reinforces people’s prejudice against the LGBT community?

  2. well it’s quite obvious from her comments that even if this building was a gay church she would have opposed it because of her religious bigotry.

  3. So Spike, our pleasures depends on other people’s permission? Who cares?

    I don’t care what other people think. No one is forced to attend the club. This is stupid nanny state religious moralising.

  4. “I can still hate the homosexual act.”

    I’m always baffled by this…. why would anyone take the time to “hate an act of sex”? Is it her business, and who cares what she thinks, its a free country. Its akin to saying I hate blue table cloths. Get a life woman.

    ‘Susan Johnson, who spoke to the council on behalf of opponents, called on the “good men and women of Gloucester” to reject the plans, saying: “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.”‘

    So WE’RE evil, though she will continue to take our taxes

  6. If I said to this woman, I love the people of faith but hate the religious acts I would be called bigoted quite rightly.

    So if the cap fits Susan Johnson!

  7. ”I’m not homophobic, but I can love people and hate their activities. I can still hate the homosexual act. And I certainly hate adultery.”

    Well I’m sure she would be the first person to stand up against gay marriage, so how could we possibly commit adultery? She wouldn’t even allow us the legal opportunity.

    So true! Every time the government starts dishing out their projects and clampdowns and whatnot in a misguided attempt to keep us healthy, these people decry them as being a nanny state. Any time something fun like this pops up, these same whingeing bastards become nannies themselves. Won’t somebody please think of the children! Seems it’s a case of “don’t tell us what to do, and don’t do what we don’t tell you to do!”

    Sexually liberated countries such as the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden have much lower rates of teenage pregnancy and STDs than countries like the UK. Sex evidently is not the danger here: the danger lies in the public’s juvenile attitude towards sex.

    I’m guessing she forgot to use lube. :D

    And like everyone else said: yes, she is definitely a homophobe, and also a total twat.

  9. Now we can focus on “civil marriage” and fully getting rid of “civil partnership”. Also remember there is still a ban on gay men and bisexual men donating blood. Not forgetting a FORMAL apology to all gay men in the UK jailed for “homosexual offences”.

    Achieved 9 things in the UK:

    * Homosexuality made legal – DONE
    * Implemented hate crime legislation – DONE
    * Implemended anti-discrimination legislation – DONE
    * Equal age of consent – DONE
    * Full joint and step child adoption – DONE
    * Section 28 completly abolished – DONE
    * De facto relationship status – DONE
    * Formal relationship status (civil partnership) – DONE
    * IVF access and parentage – DONE

    Things NOT done (3) in the UK:

    * Implementing full “civil marriage” and abolishing civil partnerships
    * Abolishing blood donation bans on gay men and bisexual men
    * A “formal” apology to all gay men jailed in the past for “homosexual offences”.

    While I’m sure she’s homophobic, I kind of agree that a central location isn’t appropriate for a “sex club” of any kind. :S

    I have a problem with the way the planning application was phrased: “alternative sexual lifestyles”. Being gay is not a lifestyle, it is an innate characteristic. Furthermore, categorising it as “alternative” marginalises it, suggesting that it cannot be part of the mainstream. I presume the developers were not interested at all in gay equality but merely in making money from the “pink dollar” and its “edgy alternative lifestyles”.

  12. Sodom and Gomorrah fell due to pride, haughtiness and inhospitality – aren’t these qualities that Susan Johnson and the other homophobes have so wouldn’t that mean they already have Sodom and Gomorrah thanks to their own opinions/actions?
    the bible has been mistranslated and misunderstood.
    the bible has also been re-edited and had “homosexual” added in 1946, “homosexual” was a term coined in 1868 so it logically is not sin etc. Jesus never condemned gays, lesbians or bisexuals

  13. That why I am a gay activist who is an athiest!!!!!!!

    What an idiotic name, ‘SEX CLUB’ Even I would not want a SEX CLUB on my door-step. I think the pea-sized brain who thought this one up should ask for planning applications to Siberia!
