    I am torn.

On the one hand anything that curbs the ambition of this malignant piece of new labour scum who trades favours for trips on yachts is a good thing.

On the other hand allowing Mandelscum to lead the Labour party as an MP would consign new labour to the absolute political oblivion it deserves.

As someone who wants to see Labour return to its roots after they inevitably lose the next election, I also hope Mandelson doesn’t return to the commons. I have a feeling the party wants to parachute him into a safe seat, which hasn’t gone down well locally before. I read somewhere that Labour wants to deselect Dennis Skinner to give Quentin Davies (who defected from the Tories) a better chance of re-election. I hope, if this is the case, there would be a repeat of Blaenau Gwent in 2005.

I would also like to see a ban on members of the Lords becoming government ministers. People with such power should be elected.

  3. Mandelson as leader of the Labour party would set gay rights back decades!!!!!!

Do you mean to say a Gay man like Mandy would cut off his nose to spite his face…get real please!?

  5. Rover straight in there yapping I see. “The most influential gay man” by a pinknews readers poll, and rover has to bark. I am no tory fan, but I applaud the efforts of Alan Duncan and co to drag that political dinosaur kicking and screaming out of the twentieth century, something little rover has yet to do.

I don’t like many of labour’s actions, especially where governance is concerned, but I think vulpine shows rather more than sour grapes when bitching at Mandy. Lovers tiff, perhaps? I know there’s nothing so anti as an Ex…

Matt – What on earth are you blathering about, what the F has “Rover” got to do with anything?

Are you really so thick that you think because I am critical of a high profile gay politician it must be the result of a spurned advance?

If so then does that mean you’ve got the hots for the Tory party?

Apologies if you were trying for humour/sarcasm, but it just came across as self-contradictatory and a bit dense.

  7. Bad for gay rights as in the fact that he is such a universally loathed person. Hardly does our image good having the Price of Darkness batting for our side…

Both you and Vulpus Rex are two of a kind…Crap-heads!

  9. I don’t feel in a proper position to comment about Mandelson as I’m not a UK citizen but I can tell you he is loathed by many here in Ireland over his role in cutting farm subsidies when he was EU Commissioner.

So Peter Mandelson is gay – so what? I have never seen him make a concerted stand for gay rights. And he was hardly the first MP to come out, was he? I don’t like the man – there is something devious, sly and nasty about him.
