    He can start the fight against religious bigotry by legalising civil marriage for straight and gay people. It is disgusting that civil marriage is illegal in Israel – for straight people as well as gay

  2. This visit (and his comments) from the PM are very welcome but there is still MUCH more needing to be done.

    I hope Israel will now start to increase protection and rights for gay people as much as possible as quickly as possible. This attack was a “wake up call” of the extreme homophobia that still exists in all societies.

    That will be the greatest punishment for this killer – to know that his attempts to break us actually backfired and resulted in increased support/help for us.

    and Tzipi Livni made a stunning speech (without notes) I cannot imagine a single British politician being able to reach into that kind of suffering, so appropriately and so movingly… so much for Peter Tatchell’s crass and inappropriate comments (that the PM had not said “lesbian” or “gay”, time he got over himself!
