It’s tragic when Gay Authers, fiction or non-fiction producers die before their time. Lynn was 54 years old, I was refering to the Biblicle reconing of three score years and ten. I mentioned in another thread the Black Gay writer James Baldwin, he died before his time as well. Many years ago, I was serving free drinks at a gathering of showbiz personalities and writers of the day. At a venue in Brook Street, Mayfair London. James Baldwin just happened to be in London and attended the gathering. I had to stop serving the drinks at 9pm. So, I thought I would button-hole James when I got through. James Baldwin was Brahms and Lizt at 8.45pm and two Guys carried him out to a Taxi. Social drinking is fatal. Instead, I sat down and chatted to Larry Adler, I too play the Harmonica a little but I did not mention it to Larry. The lovley, charismatic Rod Taylor passed us by and winked at Larry and his eyes smiled at me. Funny how a death can make you recall old memories.
