a tragedy to be sure but i dotn see why her death is beign covered. she doesnt seem to have died because she was trans and voodoo is one of the worlds most lgbtqi accepting religions out there today.

I was thinking just the same… To be honest, I don’t see what her being trans or her plans for surgery had to do with the story at all. It’s a tragic story of a woman who died taking part in a ‘lave tet’ ceremony and the story should have ended with that.
