After seeing the headline, I was hoping for it to be John Kerry.
Well done Senator, some blow big fanfares to announce their sexuality. Others simply wisper it like him and more power to your elbow Senator.

He is a member of the Massachusetts STATE SENATE. He is NOT one of Massachusett’s two senators in the federal government. But good for him.
The more come out, the better. It will just show that there are more of ‘them’ than some straights think (hope?).
It’s such a good time to be alive; seeing these high caliber profile men and women standing up for themselves, and at the same time, enpowering us.
It’s also pretty cool that Massachusetts is suing the Federal Government over the Defence of Marriage Act
