“We are concerned about the possible impact this will have on potential adoptive parents and children.”
No they bloody well are not.
They are more interested in protecting their ‘right’ to discriminate and hide behind their bloody bible doing so.

Dear sir or madam,
I am writing to you with increased disappointment at your stance towards adoption by gay or lesbian couples, and your stated aims to continue discriminating against gay and lesbian people, as that is what you believe is a right of your church.
I would ask you to seriously consider why we as the general public should be expected to bow down to your churches wishes on this matter, and why you as a Catholic organisation would even consider yourselves as adequate spokespeople for the rights of children? After all doesn’t your church counsel women in abusive relationships (both mental and physical) to remain in those relationships? Is that good for the child?
Have you ever conducted a study into the impact that remaining in an abusive relationship can have on a child?
You believe that discriminating against gays and lesbians is your church’s right, because it is your belief that is unnatural, despite evidence to show that homosexual behaviour has been witnessed in hundreds of species, while religious worship has only been witnessed in one. That being the case, should secular adoption agencies have the rights to refuse heterosexual catholic couples the right to adopt due to the beliefs of your discriminating church which in reality doesn’t care about abused women either?
I would ask you to reflect on your church’s right to discriminate, and consider whether you should have a long hard think about your own church’s impact on the mental and physical wellbeing of abused wives, and physically and mentally abused young children.
I also am very concerned about the impact this could have on children. Those children in care who are awaiting adoptive homes are at high risk. The longer they wait for adoptove homes the higher the risk that they will form attachment disorders that will blight their lives. When perfectly good homes are available with same-sex couples it is disgusting to prevent children from going to them. These homophobic bigots would rather a children were damaged than given loving homes by loving homos…
Let them appeal. So what? Lawyers know a good thing when they see it (£), but nothing will come of it.
They would rather give tens of thousands of pounds to lawyers rather than spend it on caring for vulnerable children. That says all you need to know about them.
Of course they would discriminate. They are more interested in keeping the kids around, to abuse them physically and mentally.
When you look at the church in the USA – its decades of priests raping children, we need to all understand that this curse is exactly like what happens in prisons – where the most macho of hetero individuals establish their power and pecking order by raping the weak. Has nothing to do at all with gay vs non-gay.
And the church hid their vile crimes for decades – while letting them continue. the only possible reason is that the rot reaches all the way to the TOP.
And the church would probably keep their hate against gays, then provide homes for unwanted kids. As well as their stance will encourage some more mothers to be to have an abortion.
Hypocrites – from the bible – PSA 5:9 Not a word from their mouth can be trusted; their heart is filled
with destruction. Their throat is an open grave; with their tongue they speak deceit.
And then there is the recently noted Catholic “christian brothers” scandal in Ireland
Let them appeal . . . there is nothing appealing about discrimination, homophobia and an indoctrination . . . as they will find out if they take this to the High court.
It is obvious from the hatred built into the catholic church, that they should be blanket banned from being involved in adoptions be it str8 , gay, or single parent adoptions.
All thanks to their history, and to a pope whose lessons on control were learned by listening to the rantings of a madman. Adolph hiter
if I could remove one thing from this world, it would be religion.
