  1. Yet more evidence of Tory homophobia. He only received 3 votes from his party because he’s gay friendly!

    Same old Tory’s!

I’ve heard already there is a plot to have him removed. He said he dose not apologise for his extream, right wing views. His Tory Monday club is very right wing.

  3. He is a great loss to the tory party – we really could do with more voices like his within it, to drive the party to change its outlook.

Nonetheless, I wish him well and hope the campaign against him (which sounds suspiciously like another whispering campaign orchestrated by a religious lobby group) fizzles out.

  4. Well I heard he got the gig because he’s a bit of a rebel Tory, so all the Labour guys voted for him. I have no concern over him being a Tory, even a right-winger, but considering he was one of the “mortgage-flip” crowd, I would have much preferred somebody without that reputation, such as Anne Widdecombe, who is a bit of an old frump, but she has a strong moral streak and doesn’t take crap from anyone.

Anyhow, it’s all academic now, let’s see how he does. He claims to have put party politics behind him. It can’t be easy to be totally impartial, but it can’t be difficult to improve on the last fuckwit that sat in that chair.

so he defends Gays? Oh well it’s fine that he’s a fachist fuck, that the Tory Party want nothing to do with him because he’s viewed as being slightly to the right of Hitler. But never mind, he’s been nice to Queers.

With friends like him I’ll convert to Hetrosexuality.

  6. I …. z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z

That’s bollocks, you don’t know what you’re talking about. The Tory Party don’t like him because he’s seen as too left-wing. There was strong suspicion that he was going to defect to Labour.

  8. Gonzo: Actually, Bercow is a staunch right-winger. If you were not already aware, they Labour party is probably more right wing now than the Tories. The Tories are trying to clean up their act and be a bit more “people-friendly”, so types like Bercow are a bit of an embarrassment.
