    Good old Cher.

I read online that because Chaz is morbidly obese at the present time he will need to lose large quantities of weight as at the present time his weight makes surgery impossible.

  2. I have a question (and I’m not taking the piss or being sarcastic/funny I genuinely want to know):

How does a woman become a man, ‘down there’?

I realise and know that when a male becomes a female they take the penis away and ‘create’ a vagina.

However, I’ve never understood how when a woman becomes a man, they make a penis, as we don’t have anything ‘there’ to make one.

Also, if they can, how does it ‘work’?

If someone can explain this to me. I would really appreciate a better understanding of this issue.

  3. Cher probably found this out before the rest of us – which is quite right, she is Chaz’s mother – so she’s had time, at least, to come to terms with what must be a pretty astonishing piece of news. But I’m glad she’s being supportive :D

  4. Lezabella, this wikipedia article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phalloplasty) has some information about operations to create a penis.

I loved ‘Sonny& Cher’ when they first started singing. They married then split. Sonny was big in American politics untill he was killed while on a ski holiday. Their offspring Chaz is tragic, if nothing else!

  6. All sounds very odd. I think ‘Chaz’ is one angry cookie from what I’ve read and seen.

Most of my FTM friends don’t bother with surgery “down there” since the operations aren’t that successful. They usually get “top” surgery to remove breast tissue and make the chest more masculine and take testosterone to lower the voice, build muscles and other physical changes. Once they’ve been on T for a while and had the top op you’d never spot them as anything other than ordinary guys unless they were naked.

    Kay from New Zealand,

Thanks for the info. I’m sure you are right about not so successful operations. I have seen ‘good’ operations over the years and bad. But, surgery technics are getting better all the time.
