And it happened to me when I and my boyfriend of the time appeared, some 15 or so years ago, on a daytime TV programme talking about gay marriage. Afterwards when because our faces were now known as “gay” to our neighbours we had a hell of a time from local youth who taunted us, encouraged by their parents.
