I hope this is a sign that the next generation will be more enlightened about homosexuality. I grew up in California and was surprised when Prop 8 passed. I’m waiting for bigotry to die off.
SteveDenver, unfortunately in the States bigotry will never die off. Or anywhere for that matter,,,,unless people lose their personal insecurities over their own sexualities/colour/race etc,,, and brother, that aint ever gonna happen!!
This isn’t about homosexuality or even gender issues. It’s just some attention-seeking kid trying to be provocative. He doesn’t even want to be a girl, so it’s not as if he trans tendencies. It would have been more constructive to stand as prom king and thus demonstrate that there are different kinds of men in this world who are all of equal value. Missed opportunity and yet more fodder for those that don’t understand what being gay is.

If I ever travel backwards through time, de-aging as I go, and then move to California, I know which high school I’m attending! :D
What a nice story, and what a wonderful school! Congrats to their prom queen, too! “Queen”… I’m sure there’s a joke in there somewhere… ;)
Well Sergio, what a spendid thing to happen. It’s American Pie for sure!
Only in America! Love it!

Why didn’t he just run for Prom King?
All this Prom Queen stuff is just sexist nonsense, so it’s wonderful to see it ironized!
