  1. If President Obama would repeal DOMA that would help my spouse and me tremendously. I am a gay federal employee living overseas with my same sex spouse and we have so many problems because the federal government sees her as an “unauthorized” spouse and will not extend us the same privileges and benefits as my straight married co-workers. So unfair and wrong!

Staci, don’t expect miracles from Obama, he’ll reneg just as he has on the single payer health care plan, among others.

he is dithering on any rights issues. Would he be as reticient if it involved people of colour and their rights being unequal? I think not.

At least when the right wingers kick us we expect it, we were too taken with BHO: he talked a good fight

  4. Robert, I am very afraid that he will leave us hanging in the wind. If by some miracle he does repeal DOMA our lives would improve %100. Right now we are appealing to the German government to allow her to stay here with me. A very long, stressing and expensive process since we had to hire an attorney. We have been together for over 8 years, married in California and still have to go through this. A straight guy on the other hand can marry a whore on a whim and get her sponsorship right away. So frustrating!
