  1. and yet the closed down the account of “the godless bastard” – the only reason deduced being “godless”, since the expletives etc are matched throughout the site

  2. Though I don’t agree with the racist and bigots, freedom of speech should still be protected. Also if these people are so stupid as to create pages and profiles on public social websites, good for them. It makes it so much easier to catch them when they commit crimes.

Freedom is something which is very important to me, but there’s a fine line between self-expression and hate speech. Usually, I’d deliberate over something like this, but there is NO excuse for threats of violence. That is 100% hate speech and 100% unacceptable.

  4. All very well, but the Simon Wiesenthal omits to mention that racist & violent Zionist propaganda is also prevelant on the internet, including Facebook. Strange that!

  5. You think Facebook is bad? Any comment on YouTube (gay-related video or not) has some sort of hate-filled comment. I think they should just change the whole ‘comments’ thing on YouTube, to perhaps a rating system or a smiley system whether or not you liked the video, quality, content, audio etc. I don’t see the point in commenting on videos on youtube anyway, as the majority of comments seem to be just like ‘i love this song, which i got as a ringtone on x.com lol

  6. No news here. Facebook has loads of hate groups. There’s a great group I joined called Belgrade LGBT. They hunt various European groups down preaching hatred and mass report them and they get shut down almost right away.

So less talking and more action I think

    1. I totally agree with you Jon, less talk more action.
There’s also a UK based group on Facebook called WHOF (Wipeout Homophobia On Facebook) who do the same thing!
Let’s get these hateful pages removed, freedom of speech is all well and good but not when it’s inciting violent or unlawful behavior. “Shoot all gays ithe head” (an actual Facebook page) is not an “opinion” I’d liked endorsed!
